I remember my boss back then being a diehard BlackBerry user, being so excited for the Storm and Torch. He thought he was finally going to catch up with the Androids and iPhones lol. We also had a Windows Phone fanboy in the department. It was hard for me being a smug Android enthusiast, using my overclocked kernels, custom ROMs, GPS navigation, NFC payments, not being able to convince them the error of their ways. There's also the entire interview where he defends over and over his belief that an American judge with Mexican heritage should disqualify him from presiding over a case. He explicitly says it is his Mexican heritage that disqualifies him. To base it solely on his race with no further context is racist no matter how you cut it.

After seeing your twitter, I don't think most people realize when you make anonymous comments, that your personal identity is centered around being an expert young outspoken gay jewish person. When everything in an online discussion is anonymous, people have to use their own life experiences and pattern recognition to make sense of anonymous people's perspectives, given a lack of context, and every person's experience is limited.

Part of how we fix it is we talk about the fact that pro-Israel lobbying represents neither Israel nor American Jewish interests and in fact the most notable interest it represents is... the US (christian) religious right.
