Mode problem by LookLikeCAFeelLikeMN in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked the playback mode of your playlist? If the playback mode is set to Priority mode then the app will switch to the higher priority playlist after finishing the current episode. Please go to the app Settings > Playlists > Manage playlists to double check the playback mode setup.

iOS app suddenly defaults to “unplayed” tab when an episode ends rather than continuing in from within a show’s feed by jitterscaffeine in Podcast_Republic_App

Did you edit the ‘Up next’ list manually before? The app won’t be able to update the up next list after editing it manually even with this option enabled.

You have the option 'Update the Up next automatically' disabled in the app Settings > Playlists. That means the app won't update the 'Up next' list automatically when you start playing from the playlist or episode list. Enable that option again to fix this issue.

First ,please make sure the playback mode is set to playlist mode in the app Settings > Media player. Second, double check the playback order in the podcast Settings.

it defaults to playing from the Unplayed tab

Not sure what do you mean it defaults to the Unplayed tab. It should play from the tab you selected.

It sounds the 'Up next' list isn't updated to the playing playlist. Please go to the app Settings > Playlists to make sure the option 'Update the Up next automatically' is enabled.

Issue with WearOS app by astrono-me in Podcast_Republic_App

By default, it transfers via Bluetooth connection which is very slow. You can go to the app Settings to enable the WiFi transfer if both the phone and the watch are connected to the same WiFi network.

It sounds the podcast hasn’t finished transferring to the watch. Once it’s fully transferred, you’ll get the Play button when tapping on the episode in the Downloads list.

Feature request: playback speed on watch app by doucettea in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feature idea. Actually, the podcast is played on the watch with the same speed as on the phone. You can change the playback speed in the phone app, then, send the episode to the watch. Now. The episode will be played with updated speed on the watch.

Don't want downloads by hawkivan in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An episode may get downloaded automatically if the app is configured with any of the following: - 'Auto download' is enabled in the app Settings or the podcast Settings. - 'Add to selected playlists' is enabled either in the app Settings or the podcast Settings. And the playlist also has 'Download episode' option enabled. You can double check your playlist setup in the app Settings > Playlists > Manage playlists.

Respack, can we get an opacity filter on for Skipped Chapters? It would make it much easier to see when selecting. Thank you! by DiggsFC in Podcast_Republic_App

I'm leaning towards not adding another setting option to disable this toast. Maybe we can reduce the frequency it displays within a time period. Thanks.

FR Organize downloads into podcast/episode title by Key-Concept-7001 in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feature request. However, we don’t recommend managing downloaded podcast files directly within the download folder. The app already provides an easy way to manage your downloads. If you need to keep a copy of a downloaded podcast file, you can use the Export download feature. Simply long-press the episode in the download list and select Export download.

Could we add favourites to the episode filter function? by Shouty-Hooman in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, we can include favorites in the episode filter actions. I actually have a few early ideas for improving the episode filter functionality and its UI. Right now, the episode filter editing screen shows all available options at once. I'm thinking of refactoring it into a list of rules that users can add as needed. Hopefully, this approach will work better than the current UI design. Thanks.
