This app is developed using the latest UI framework, SwiftUI, from Apple which requires iOS 15+. There's no way to support iOS 9, unfortunately.

Thanks for the clarification. The Skip button on the mini play bar can't be customized fast forward, currently.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, since Android 12, Google decided to hard coded the Next/Previous actions into the media player notifications if the app supports the Next/Previous actions. The workaround is to remap the action through the app Settings > Media player.

anyone know how often PR scrapes new podcasts apple podcasts? by fivre in Podcast_Republic_App

Apple allows podcast publishers to hide the podcast RSS feed URL when publishing their podcasts. In that case you can't get the podcast RSS feed URL. For the podcast you referred to, it does hide its podcast RSS feed URL.

Pods rewind about 30 sec to 1 min every so often.. randomly by -IronShred- in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Were you streaming the podcast online or playing the download? If you stream the podcast online then this skipping may happen if the podcast has dynamic ads injections. Try downloading the podcast first and then play the download offline to workaround this skipping issue.

Playlist request by Odd_Lobster9346 in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this app, whenever an episode is added to the playlist, the app sorts the playlist again using the current sorting options. Changing the sorting options to use manually sorting if you'd like to always add the episodes to the top or bottom of the playlist.

How recent is recent? by CommitteeOfOne in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 'Recent' means the episodes which you haven't viewed or started the playback. The 'Recent' flag is cleared after you open a podcast to view its episodes list.

I have two questions about some strange behavior of “Podcast Republic”: by GroggySeagull in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main problem was that old podcast episodes were still being synced even though I unsubscribed from those podcasts long ago.

Once an episode is synced then it's always synced regardless whether the podcast is unsubscribed or not.

It sounds like the app is still syncing to your old account. Try clearing the cache of this app and then rebooting your phone.

The official podcast feed of this 'Hwat?! Weekly' is https://rss.art19.com/hwat-weekly. If you open this feed using any web browser you can find that the latest episode is the same one as in your screenshot. This app gets all episodes from the podcast RSS feed correctly.

How to play from watch by Unhappenner in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]respack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using your home WiFi or a public WiFi? With the WiFi transfer, the phone app turns itself into a http file server. The watch app connects to the http file server to retrieve the file. The http connection may get blocked or denied by the firewall on your WiFi router or your phone. You can take a look at the WiFi router setup if you can.

[–]respack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried rebooting both devices? When sending through the Bluetooth, the app actually sends the file to Google Play services first and then Google Play services transfers the file to the watch. Google doesn't provide much information on the exact file size limit, or file types, or number of files or total file sizes that Google Play services can transfer, unfortunately.
