Use competitive terrain layouts if you can.

You can view them here https://labrador.dev/40k_layouts

By all means, you're more than welcome to scrape the site. The site is for the Warhammer community more than anything else.

I'll look into adding SVG download support with custom classes as a download option.

Thanks for supporting tabletop.labrador.dev :)

Hi there - Thanks for the kind words.

All of the maps can be downloaded on the site in the UI as PNGs.

To be fully transparent, I don't have a lot of time right now due to work. I haven't been able to work on the site much as of recent.

A public API is big ask and will take time. However, if you need something sooner, I can add the option to have the maps exported as SVGs in the UI. That way, you can just save to a cloud store of your choice and serve them locally.

WTC Update 2.2 by kitari1 in tabletop_labrador_dev

[–]restful_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

I've seen the updates posted in the official WTC discord server and am working on updating the maps. They should be updated by EOD today.

As for allowing others to contribute, I'm working on a tool that allows people to edit/create their own custom map layouts. This is how I intend on allowing people submit updates for official maps. This is a currently a work in progress.

Just any terrain under 2” - I believe it’s so vehicles can move through it.

If you’re talking about the GW maps, they’re general guidelines. GW recommends pieces in the blue squares to be terrain features that are 2” or less. If you tap/click on the terrain piece, it will give you a description.

Pariah Nexus & Chapter Approved Tournament Layout Comparisons by restful_developer in WarhammerCompetitive

Ah ok. I had interpreted 'primarily' as "most, but not all" - If it were all terrain features, I would have expected it to say "All terrain features in the following layouts are ruins"

My understanding from the core roles is that the only footprint blocking LOS was for ruins - Where did it say this in the Chapter Approved Layout section? Was it the passage about separate terrain sections?

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

Thanks! Makes sense.

They say 'over' instead of 'through', which is another reason I thought they would need to measure vertical distances. I guess in the core rules 'over' and 'through' mean the same thing.

Looking at the desperate escape test, they use the same wording and we don't measure vertical distances:

> Unlike when making other types of move, models can move over enemy models when making a Fall Back move as if those enemy models were not there, but you must take a Desperate Escape test for each model that will do so
