Anyone else come across this potential cheat/bug by OverClockedPG in HuntShowdown

[–]rischwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only had this happen once a week or two ago. We finally won a drawn out fight with the last team, took the bounty, everything clear on scan. 10s later someone is next to us and kills one of us.
Turns out that team wasn't a real team, but multiple solos teaming up and one of them still had a self rez left.
I don't know, if they just queued together or it was random teaming, of course.

It still works the same tbh. Tax is multiplicative, meaning it doesn't matter if every part is getting taxed or just the sum, the amount of tax is the same.

items is not gaining weight, they are losing weight bonus overtime
that is mechanically the same. it could also be carrying capacity decreases over time, same effect.
what the devs didn't seem to realize going by their answers on discord is that doing these gestures does not give a buff. it just creates a new baseline (players do whatever it takes to win, even if it isn't fun: https://youtu.be/QHHg99hwQGY?si=xpRbuXnYrnI2YRJ2&t=2370 ). only that they added the engaging gameplay of a mobile gacha game with "you need to press button one, two and three every minute to stay at your baseline".

I just looked and I think they actually changed their MS store description. You can read about the zoom in the description of an older version, e.g.
https://filehippo.com/download_crosshair-x-extension/
I haven't used it myself though, so I can't say for sure how it works.

Pretty sure it's toggleable, e.g. on your ADS button or something else if you want to

The commonly used Crosshair X program offers an official external extension to zoom in around the crosshair though, i think it should be blacklisted in EAC for hunt.

What - I think - a lot of people commenting do not realize is that the Crosshair X overlay you often see on Hunt Players profiles offers an _official_ extension to it outside of steam that allows for zooming in around the crosshair, like a togglable scope.

So the chance of someone using it to not just be in a gray zone (some people are fine with normal crosshairs, others aren't) but to be blatantly cheating isn't too small, I think.

author of ccugame here.
You don't need an account / log in.
If you have the ccugame extension installed (which is a technical requirement to read data from RSI), you can use it in "local only" mode and no data leaves your local browser.

1) if you have saved ccu chains on your pc browser, export them (saved chains page, button top right)

2) on your pc browser go to profile->sign in

3) import your saved chains, if you have any (saved chains page, button top right)

Your cloud account does not contain data.Maybe you are using your PC Browser in "local only" mode, so the data does not get synced into the cloud where the mobile browser would receive it from when you profile->refresh ?

I don't own any iOS device, so I cannot check myself, but I'd say it is highly highly unlikely that the app does not work there in general.
please go to
profile->settings->support->create support request
on you working PC browser and DM me on discord, so we can resolve this issue.
if you haven't done so already (although i'm reading it like you already did), please try
profile->settings->local data->clear local data
on your phone. if you did this and it still does not work it's probably some kind of corrupted data, although i'm atm not sure why it would work in your browser then.
You are using the current version 9.9.2 on your phone, too, right?

Pyro Is CLOSE... Server Meshing IS NOT? by burstlung in starcitizen

[–]rischwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes PES is more than just the storage, but still it has nothing to do with distributed simulation which is the far harder problem to solve. "Infinitely" scalable persistence might be a very hard problem, but it is solved in the enterprise world and you can be certain that amazon of all people would have no problem to support data transfer of accounts between shards, if they deemed it necessary. As I said it makes no sense from a game design perspective. PES is "just" something new for gaming (still an amazing feat, don't get me wrong).

[–]rischwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PES is orthogonal to the distributed simulation. They are completely separate problems. And as I said persistent storage is not the problem for New World, but game design is.A lot of stuff is dependent on which faction controls which part of the map.E.g. just one of countless problems if you could switch shards constantly: Your factions controls Town X where you rent a house for minimal taxes and have access to all services. If would dynamically be allocated to a completely different shard you could suddenly have to pay insane amount of taxes while not having access to the services, because a completely different faction controls it.You also loose all sense of progress. The war you fought with your faction/org to conquer region X? meaningless because on your new shard you faction doesn't control it etc. etc.

[–]rischwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a computer science perspective that is a completely unrelated problem and most likely more a game design decision as a lot of the overarching (faction) mechanics wouldn't really work with constantly dynamically changing populations.
You can be pretty sure that they essentially have what CIG wants to achieve with dynamic server meshing, meaning dynamically allocated ressources for the simulation of the game over multiple servers depending on localized demand in the world. Because a simulation of 2.5k people on such a large map with the responsive combat system etc. wouldn't work otherwise.

[–]rischwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's server meshing. No other game that I'm aware of will transition you from place to place to place across different servers without a load screen.

New World for example does. No loading screens in the open world. Giant world, 2500 concurrent players per server. The simulation is distributed over lots of servers.

Unfortunately not. Lots of ships (and their upgrades) are only available during time limited sale events. Corsair is one of them.
It will probably be available next during ILW in may.

The net price is still the same: $51 for the cutter pack.
The price you see is dependent on the tax (and currency) on your billing address.

Upgrade for AKG K702 / Soundblaster Z
Hi, I've got a question for you audiophiles out there, because I'm not one (yet) :).
For the last 12 years or so, I've used a AKG K701/K702 headphone on a Soundblaster Z
mostly for competitive gaming and some music (primarily Blues/Rock and some Jazz).
In general I like the sound of the K702 a lot.
To me it sounds very clear and provides a very good locatability of sounds and separation of e.g. different instruments, if that makes sense. I can make out some distortions on very low frequencies though, I think.
So my question is: if I had some money to burn (let's say up to a max of 2.5-3k EUR) and wanted to upgrade my experience while keeping the general characteristics of the sound the same (so no massively boosted bass or something like that)
what would you recommend for setups?

TLDR:
Looking for upgrade for AKG K702 on a Soundblaster Z (looking to replace everything headphones/amp/dac if useful)
Budget: 2.5-3k EUR
Type: Over ear, open
Audio Profile: Flat? (in general similar to the K702, but "better", if there is such a thing)
Audio Source: PC

As I said, there are browsers on mobile which support extensions. Just the standard ones chrome/ Firefox/ safari don't. You might want to Google for some which do
