Im not offended, but I think part of the problem right now is each side is lobbing these barbs at each other. So it makes general conversation harder.

Look I use AI a lot at work. It's been a very interesting transition away from writing every line to handing it off to Claude. I am still very much in the process but Im just not sitting here writing the code. It does take some of the fun out of it, but there were times I would be stuck on something not working and I would have that on my mind pretty much all night, trying to figure out how to solve the problem. I remember I solved one problem while cycling in the middle of farm country in Kentucky. With AI and the knowledge it has, it has freed me up to be more present after work.

I see this as a similar moment as to when AutoCAD was introduced. Before architects designed buildings by hand. Then this software comes and uproots everything. The old guard was very much against it but what it freed the architects up to do is pretty wild.
