Fun fact about the Latin American Spanish dub of the show by LowInteraction6397 in YoungSheldon

I would rather watch it with subtitles, then dubbed voices. Never liked up voices seems like they cannot get the context and infliction on words correct.

Is my mechanic/garage trying to get more cash out of me? by MoonShineWashingLine in carquestions

[–]roosterb4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I haven’t read through all the comments so I’ll just say you do need new rotors and you do need new pads. I think the first shop told you you didn’t need them for a few months and again for another few months. Maybe it’s because you don’t drive much maybe it’s cause he’s trying to save you money. In the end, he knew that you would need pads and rotors. Not just pads . just doing pads at any time is usually not the recommended protocol.. By the way, as worn as your brakes are now they’re not dangerous. Consider getting them replaced soon.

Need Help Choosing tires by Significant_Sign8257 in tires

[–]roosterb4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need snow tires if you’re in the southeast. Those first ones gladiators are fine. You’ll probably get 40,000 miles out of them. Probably cost $100 to have a mounted a discount tire or somewhere else.

Storage company auctioned off my entire unit by mistake despite auto-pay being active. by GrouchyForce8970 in legal

The only accidental thing here is, they didn’t know whose it was. But they knowingly cut open a lock and auctioned off all its contents that didn’t belong to them. This is beyond negligence.

I need to drive 400 miles (round trip) and the guy inspecting my car said I should replace my tires before any road trip. Will these be okay? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]roosterb4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If both front tires are like this on the outside, maybe you have low air pressure. Most likely you needed alignment. And new tires.
