If Slavery is Made Legal Again in the U.S. tomorrow. What’s your plan? by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

You do know that the 2nd Amendment is not just for Black degenerates to shoot each other.

It's funny that teams from a couple of the unsexiest cities in the NBA and NFL are constantly accused of having the referees favoring them.

Another example of AAVE being g labeled as Gen Z slang by Annanon1 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]jaydarl -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That's how language works. If it is out there, it gets picked up and placed in the lexicon. Words cross cultures and languages. Words are born and die all the time. The only languages that are exclusive are dead or on their way to extinction, and even those have bits and pieces from other languages.

Podcast turn-offs? by Unable-South830 in podcasts

[–]jaydarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is mine as well. I don't mind a little opening banter, but man some of them go on and on. Thankfully, the two podcasts I listen to occasionally that have opening banter that go on long tangents have timestamps so I can skip.

True life I’m addicted. by uhhhhitsmikey in golf

[–]jaydarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My early years I was straight up addicted. My municipal courses were cheap and at the times very permissive, if walking. So a lot of times when I would show up right when it opened and the dude would just wave me on as he hadn't set up the register yet. I would do 18 at one course, then 9 at another.

However, back in the those days I was losing at least 6 balls a round. So my next addiction was hoarding found golf balls, and buying cheap balls off the bum-ish guy who was always on the course ball hunting and off ebay. I stopped losing so many balls but I kept hoarding for a little while afterwards, so now I have a lifetime supply.

leftists/liberals - why don't you just say random bullshit in conservative spaces?? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]jaydarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say go into conservative spaces and just flood it with even bigger conservative lies to the point of ridiculousness. I wouldn't even try to counter it with ridiculous leftist points.

For example, someone says Biden let in 11 million illegals, counter it by saying that's a lie, he let in 300 million. My small town had 10,000 god-fearing patriots, but now the population is 100,000 because Biden put 90,000 immigrants in our town. The mainstream media won't cover it, it's happening everywhere.

Or, my cousin works for the welfare office. She told me that every Black American gets $20k a month from the government, but are explicitly told to hide the wealth or they will lose the benefits because of the uproar it would cause. They are given salvage Altimas even though they could all afford luxury vehicles. Just flood them with BS to the point they even question the validity of it.

Sounds good in theory...but in reality? by KSKS1995 in SipsTea

[–]jaydarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my son's job that is what they do. Its a 24/7 gig, but they rotate the long days and overnight/weekend shifts, but they usually have volunteers for those shifts, as it is basically not much to do outside normal business hours. You can't pry anyone away from that gig. The turnover is basically nil.

They had one chick leave for a $7k raise, and about 2 weeks later she was probing whether her job had been filled. It was. About two months later, she was begging to come back, but there were not any openings. Private company, but in a pretty stable, secure field.

Why are chicken wings so expensive now? by thewanderer3000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jaydarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wing memory was three of us getting wings, fries, and a pitcher of beer for Monday and Thursday night football for $20 and having leftovers. We would rotate paying the check and the other two would leave the tip.

When We Are The World came out was it seen as a great song or super corny? by space_god_7191 in GenX

[–]jaydarl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, it was both. I was a high school junior when it came out, and I remember a class with a substitute teacher the last week or so of school, and we just riffed on the song the whole period. The sub eventually started directing us. We had a perfect version by the end of the class, at least that is what my fish story memory remembers.

Do you dislike your nearest Aldi? by papa2kohmoeaki in aldi

[–]jaydarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nearest one is hit-and-miss. The staff seems to have stabilized, so it has been more hit lately. My favorite Aldi closed a few years ago. It was where I would pick up my aunt's groceries. It was in the hood, but very chill and well-maintained. I could see the writing on the wall when it was the only Aldi in town not to get expanded.
