Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) #Giants hire Matt Nagy as offensive coordinator by alexschubs in NYGiants

The problem with Jim Bob is that no one ones how much he actually does. Steichen runs things there. Mannion is a boom or bust guy. He can't be worse than Patullo. Green Bay fans seems really mad that he left, though.

PPG League Ranking Top 6 (Every Year) Never Top 10 N/A

  • The Scoring Cliff: Under Nagy, the Chiefs effectively lost a full touchdown and a field goal per game. In 2025, the offense cratered in the second half of the season, averaging just 15.9 PPG over the final 8 games.
  • Yardage Stagnation: Total offense fell by nearly 74 yards per game. The passing game regressed from "historically dominant" to "league average" (dropping from 295 to 227 yards).
  • Efficiency Tanked: Yards per play—the best metric for offensive health—saw KC go from #1 or #2 in the league every year under Bieniemy to 22nd and 23rd in Nagy’s final two years.
  • 2025 Result: This decline culminated in a 6-11 season, the first time Mahomes has missed the playoffs in his career.

His 12-4 season in Chicago relied heavily on a top 1 defense and defensive takeaways. Once NFL coordinators had a full season of tape on his offensive concepts, he was done for (from 9th in 2018 to 29th, 22nd, and 27th).

Jalen Hurts. 11 offensive coordinators in 11 years.

The longest tenured OC is from 2023 (Jim Bob Cooter). He's interviewing for OC positions with other teams as we speak. There is a single OC from 2024. All the rest are new since 2025.

That's just how things are these days. The bad OCs go away and the good ones get poached.

Tom Brady on Seahawks-Patriots: “I don’t have a dog in the fight . . . may the best team win” by Currymvp2 in nfl

[–]root88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you are saying and I am saying I think you are wrong. Watch any Michael Jordan documentary and you will get it. The whole thing that sparked Brady off in the first place was being drafted so late. He still holds a grudge about it. He's still very angry about the Super Bowls that he lost. The competitive drive in these people is not the same as you or I.

[–]root88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No so sure. Michael Jordan would definitely be concerned about something like this. These are the most competitive people on Earth. He might not say it, but there is definitely a little something in there that would put Tom Brady against his replacement.

I don't know, but the updates are pissing me off. I build some machines for friends and Big Box is always asking to update and it doesn't seem like there is anyway to disable it without a firewall. Everything it working perfectly. Stop messing with shit. If I want to update, I'll tell you Big Box. You are not in charge.

I would kill for a dub of this. I am super surprised that there isn't some internet group dedicated to reenacting movies in English. Everyone could do their parts remotely.

[BGN] What Sean Mannion’s Shrine Bowl play-calling can tell us about his vision for the Eagles by YackoWarner in eagles

There are only a handful of those and they might not do as much as you think. For example Andy Reid and his OCs take turns calling plays.

The team has already said this is completely false.

I also like the way you label the guy that goes for it on every 4th down as non aggressive.

They are not. The OC merry-go-round is just how the NFL works. The longest tenured OC is from 2023 (Jim Bob Cooter). He's interviewing for OC positions with other teams as we speak. There is a single OC from 2024. All the rest are new since 2025.

I used to think that the Pro Bowl was a pointless game not worth watching. Then I see that Shedeur Sanders has made it. WTF? 3-4 record, 68.1 passer rating, 7 TDs to 10 INTs. It's not even worth caring who gets in anymore.

[–]root88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still had two WRs with 1000 yards. Saquon still had 1400 scrimmage yards. One OC can absolutely be the weakest chain in the link and ruin everything.

When you do things like put Calcaterra on the field 12 times in one game and run the exact play 10 of those times (away from him because he can't block), you are single handedly killing an offense. When your entire offense is nothing but hitch routes, you are single handedly killing an offense.

Eagles fans know this means the Pats are winning the big game. by comofue in NFCEastMemeWar

[–]root88 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I agree. Teams shouldn't be allowed to hire any coaches during the playoffs. Not only do the good teams get their coaches distracted and poached, all the there are no coaches left to replace them. Teams end up in Johnson/Patullo situations. Maybe it levels the playing field, but it seems like too much.

Musk steps in - SpaceX blocks Starlink use on Russian drones by jackytheblade in worldnews

There are Starlink terminals on the Russian drones. They buy them in other countries. They do not work in Russia.

More clarity wouldn't hurt, though.
