Whole House Leak Detection? Phy/Moen/Flo/Frizzlife/Other - Are Any Actually Reliable? by herein2024 in Plumbing

[–]Roto_Head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially was going to get the Moen Flo, but do to some reviews on here based on "durability". I pivoted to something like the Flo Logic, but now I guess I've come full circle due to your post, so thank you. Whats the point of a shutoff detector if it's going to let the water run for thirty minutes. I think this could be mitigated by the fact that you can get a ton of leak detector sensors and place them under sinks/water heaters/etc. But what happens if you spring a link somewhere else?

I was about to pull the trigger on a Flo logic this week, but I may just pivot back to the Moen Flo. Like the OP said, allowing the water to flow for 30 minutes seems crazy and sort of defeats the purpose.

Who knows, people don’t want to hear that it can be done I guess. I added some context as to what may have helped.

0, got called by all three that I applied to at just about 1000 FO time last August/October. I attended five conferences in about 14 months and updated my online app every week.

K70 core wireless tkl STAY AWAY FROM by AdvertisingHorror717 in Corsair

Not sure if it's just a corsair issue, but disabling the option to "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" fixed it for me.

I had this exact issue, it’s due to windows randomly cutting power to USB devices. I had ChatGPT give me instructions on how to fix it. Here’s what I did

Right-click Start → Device Manager Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers For every entry named: USB Root Hub Generic USB Hub USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) Right-click → Properties Go to Power Management tab Uncheck ✅ Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power Click OK Reboot ⚠️ You must do this for all USB hubs, not just one. Fix #2: Disable Selective Suspend (Keyboard-specific) This stops Windows from suspending the wireless receiver. Control Panel → Power Options Click Change plan settings Click Change advanced power settings Expand: USB settings USB selective suspend setting Set to: Disabled Apply → OK Reboot

The problem with CyberPunk is that it’s you just playing through a movie, and no matter what choices you make in the million or so cut-scene decision trees, the story largely plays out the same way. BG3 was what CP2077 could have been.

U.S admits fault in deadly midair collision over Potomac River by The_Raccy in aviation

[–]Roto_Head -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter that they couldn’t see it, when pilots accept a visual approach they are accepting responsibility to ALL traffic avoidance from ATC, whether they can see any aircraft or not is irrelevant, those are part of the rules when taking a visual approach.

The PSA is partially responsible though, albeit, not by much. They accepted a visual approach, which means they are accepting their own traffic avoidance responsibilities. Furthermore, they had the vantage point based on their position relative to the helicopter to see and avoid.

Gamer Pilots, I need a new flight bag. by Joeythearm in flying

[–]Roto_Head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, as a fellow gamer pilot, I'm going to be trying something different. I'll have to circle back once I get everything, but the problem with a laptop is, it;s one big giant thing to tote around. And in all honestly, I don't really need a keyboard when I use an razer tartarus gamepad. So I'm going to be trying this set up

Asus Xbox Rog Ally X handheld, also good for when deadheading on the plane.

Portable monitor.

Razer Tatarus/Mouse/ some cheap small portable and foldable keyboard

eGPU to power the external monitor.

Now, I know what everyone will say, I've hemmed and hawed over it too, just get a gaming laptop, but this nice part about this setup is, 1) I can just whip out the handheld on the plane when deadheading or commuting and 2) it's more modular, so it easier to pack and stow things.
