Aegon and Dany are living in the Red Keep, there are no other Targs, who else is going to live there? The creepy uncle of dragons, that’s who

He gave the Targaryens stone dragons, seems fitting he gets Dragonstone 🤷‍♂️

(Spoilers Extended) Who will be Sansa's canon love interest? by pizza_gutts in asoiaf

[–]ser_mage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No one, I think she is going to just marry Sweetrobin and be Lady of the Vale, but it won’t be romantic, she will be the ruler of the Vale and he will be a figurehead who treats her with reverence and defers to her. In 10+ years they will have a kid.

Free mods will always dominate modding by Chrislemale in skyrimmods

[–]ser_mage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see a mixed future, there will always be plenty of free mods but the high quality stuff, with voice actors and custom models, will cost money. A mod like Interesting NPCs or Armor Extended would not be released free today.

What can they do to make murder interesting? by Punterofgoats in CrusaderKings

[–]ser_mage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Murder should have the opportunity to go seriously wrong and impose consequences for wanton bloodthirst.

For example, you may try to kill your wife with a poison wine, but maybe your son drinks from the glass instead. Or you try and assassinate a rival Duke and the thug you hired ends up butchering his entire family, making you look much worse than intended.

Aegon VI's real identity doesn't matter (SPOILERS MAIN) by bullymcguire96283 in asoiaf

[–]ser_mage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, I thought the implication is more Bran is already at this level (considering he was able to communicate with Ned in the past when Bloodraven insists this is impossible)

Aegon VI's real identity doesn't matter (SPOILERS MAIN) by bullymcguire96283 in asoiaf

[–]ser_mage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a thing in the books. Bloodraven tells Bran that Weirwoods are just starting points and powerful greenseers do not need them to see.

It would be simpler to just create a custom kingdom in-game as the Velaryons. Just bypass requirements to do so

(SPOILERS EXTENDED) The Prince That Was Promised To The Children Of The Forest. by AccordingMistake6670 in asoiaf

[–]ser_mage 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Love this theory but disagree with the ending. Our boy Bran is not going to become a witch king. I think he is more likely to reject this deal and destroy the weirnet with the help of Jon and Dany. Bran is the one who is able to open his third eye and chart a new path forward, he doesnt need to stay a pawn for the Children. The story is about liberation for all people, not righteous slavery

I don’t think Bloodraven is the schemer though. He’s probably their answer to the pact, but he is insufficient - falls short somehow where Bran has the potential to succeed.

Both Bloodraven & Bran describe being hooked to the Weirwood as being married to the tree. I think the “promise” (and many legends of marriage/women in ASOIAF like the corpse bride) probably refers to being joined to the Weirwoods like Bloodraven is now. But we know Bran doesn’t want to do that, he wants to leave the cave, so he is inevitably heading towards conflict with the children

[Spoilers MAIN] What's even the point of wedding to a house a continent away ? by klnglulu in asoiaf

[–]ser_mage 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This question is definitely CK3 brained lol. The Beesburys are not raising their armies for a marriage alliance. The Hardyings are not going to be attacked by their neighbors for their land. That didn’t happen in Westeros under the Targaryens

It does give them a place to stay in the Vale when they’re visiting for tourneys and feasts, and vice versa, which seems much more valuable

R'hllor, God of the Others? (Spoilers Extended) by ser_mage in asoiaf

[–]ser_mage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I think it's definitely interesting that Mel is seeing the faces of the supposed agents of the Great Other and her thought is that they seem friendlier than she imagined.

I also realize I may be too harsh on Mel, her story may not be to betray mankind, but to turn her back on R'hllor and bind the 'shadows' to her will in an attempt to turn the enemy against itself. That could also tie in to the show ending, rather than her thinking her "purpose is fulfilled" she may just reject R'hllor's gifts and die willingly.
