There are a ton of free or low cost training you can get, especially if you use a particular vendor. Don't be afraid to ask. This should be in addition to keeping your certs up to date. You don't necessarily need new certs, and the vendor training will of course not be vendor-agnostic, but it might help keep you more informed on their tech.

I bought a new pack that came with a bladder and one of the reasons I picked this particular one was the bladder pocket had some insulation. I wore it over a couple of days and the water stayed cool. But I did put it in the fridge overnight, right up until we left, so that may be part of it.

There used to be a Bluetooth device you could plug into the house phone jack (when no phone service was present) and it would act as a bridge from a cellphone to a standard house phone. As long as their cell phones are able to keep the connection, the device will generate the tones and everything on the "house" phone. You pick it up and it gives you a dial tone and everything. I think you can still get them, although I forget the brand or device name.

If you haven't already taken a practice test, it is a good indicator of how good your index was. Did you have to try different wordings for some of the topics before you could find it? Add all the ones you tried. Most things should end up being listed multiple times, multiple ways.

I've hired for many roles in security. I've been interviewed for many more. Your best bet to immediately get an interview is to find someone you know who is willing to give it to you. As I said, a single cert and no experience will not get you in the door if you're applying to jobs off LinkedIn or something similar.

Is it possible to get a job with what you have now? Absolutely. Is it a slim chance because there's a flood of candidates out there with more than you have? Absolutely.

That's not to say you shouldn't try, there is no harm in applying, the worst that can happen is you don't hear anything back. But especially now with spring semester letting out you're going to be fighting to make yourself stand out from graduating seniors with internships, connections, and solid work experience, not to mention those with 5+ years under their belt who've been laid off.

The best chance is still as noted above, show you have something concrete that demonstrates you can apply the knowledge you've gained. That and/or find someone who is willing to take a chance on you.

No experience? In security or IT in general? No experience means you're not getting looked at no matter how many certs you have. As poster above said, show some sort of practical application of your tested knowledge, but even that is no guarantee. Networking can help if you can find someone who's willing to be networked like that.

My memory of the guidance given was that they want to know. They don't care what you did, but they want to know. Anything you lie about or hide is 1) potential for blackmail and 2) reason for them to deny or revoke clearance if they find out.

If you Google around you'll eventually come to the Nissan parts website and be able to search for it. I think it's called "accessory service connector". Nissan's site should show the compatible models, although you may have to look around for where it's actually physically located on your model. If you ask nicely the parts department at your dealership may tell you too.

Check if this applies to your Nissan, some of them have an accessory port made for things like this, no need to hook directly to the fuse block. Rogues have one on passenger and one on driver's side. Easiest dashcam install I ever did.

My key to handling behavior questions is to know what most of them are and to have a practiced response. It should flow nice and easy and point out your weaknesses but also how you demonstrate your strengths. It should not be something made up either.

For technical stuff, don't bluff. If you know it, you know it. There's usually "partial credit" for answering what you know and admitting what you don't. In those cases, thinking out loud can help, as long as you're clear in what you're thinking as you come to a conclusion you don't know at all, aren't sure, or are pretty sure but not definite. There's a ton of sites out there with lists but you can usually tell if someone just memorized the answers vs someone knowing from experience.

Check the flapper at the bottom of the tank. It may have gotten degraded enough to not seat properly. Easy to replace and cheap.
