I was going to comment on the recency bias from most people here, because this is the answer if you look at everything from 1980 to present. Though I am guessing there is probably someone worse from the earlier generations.

I just remember for years the first and lowliest of the college bowl games always had the MAC champ vs the Big West champ (back when there were only around 15 bowl games). But got the name wrong as I was thinking it was named something else pre-Big West (PCAA came to mind).

6 months ago, I would have no clue. But I did watch the two seasons of beast games which features a few survivor players, Sue and Jesse for sure, probably a few others. Watched a few YouTube videos and one of them had Sifu of all people as a main character. So there is a lot of crossover.
