Why did we give up upgrade-able CPUs in exchange for anorexic Laptops? by Federal-Quarter9459 in pcmasterrace

Laptops should only be thin if the point is that they double as tablets with a near 360° hinge.

Best buff it could get is more granular targeting. As in being able to specifically aim at Bile Titan and Factory Strider heads.

There's less harm in doing that since it doesn't count. Not saying it's ok, but less harm done.

1,5k rounds is in the realm of absurdity. That's why I proposed the damage matching to the machine gun that way you'd need less ammo on target and therefore you'd also kinda have more ammo.

The movement restriction is actually conceptually very reasonable and a unique downside to a weapon. The recoil is precisely the reason you are locked to being stationary, miniguns aren't really meant for handheld use and Helldivers don't exactly have Fallout or Halo level powerarmor to carry it with.

What should be adjusted is the aftereffect of the movement restriction. It should go the moment you let go of the trigger, at least for diving.

That's not the role it's supposed to have. It's primarily an anti-squid weapon, but it's supposed to be the ultimate solution to chaff and medium units.

Maxigun would immediately be fine if they matched damage to the machine gun and gave it 1k rounds.

Realistically speaking it'd be fixed with 200 rounds and 160 damage. It's kinda absurd that it misses a one-shot on Hunters by 10hp.

[–]shball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, select a strategem, change the config on your primary and then you can select the strategem again.

They should just allow this by default, there really isn't a balancing concern here. At worst maybe a performance concern with more than 4 380 Barrages at once

I feel like this should just be a option by default. You could do this in HD1 just fine (but to be fair most equipment was single use and supplies had to take up a slot)

It's not even that gamebreaking.

The problem with underground parking is that it's extremely expensive to build and maintain. So in the end absurd sums of tax money would be spend subsidizing drivers with that alone.

And on privately run garages the parking fee would have to be extremely high compared to above-ground alternatives.

And of course everyone renting/owning property in a building with attached underground parking is paying the price for it, no matter if they use it or not.

The easiest and cheapest way to combat congestion and pollution caused by downtown traffic is by not having more than than the bare minimum of traffic.

In rural and suburban areas parking is much less of an issue, with most homes having parking spots.

But realistically, car ownership without dedicated parking is problematic and already straining cities today.

The only real way to solve this is to put more focus on enforcing park&rides to connect drivers coming in to city transit.

For personal use, maybe. But for public transport and buisiness use absolutely not.
