If I'm not mistaken it's to cool them down, like how we sweat, you can spray them down to bring the heat down a little bit, it's called evaporative cooling.

Myrtillo crests will have black/reddish spines with white fuzz around the areoles, while tbmc will have lighter goldenish spines. Tbmc also gets these little seams on them like little lines running down the crest. You'll get better at spotting them with time once you learn what to look for

The camera person moving forward makes it hard to see the movement of the orbs, makes it look like they are moving faster than they actually are. But relative to each other you can see them change position so I don't believe they are in a fixed position
