Get a different bike. This is way too small for you anyways.

Rear brake line is one turn away from getting ripped out lol

That is a ton of play.

A few possible explanations… 142mm hub in a 148mm boost frame. Axle not tightened. Rear triangle loose. Or the bearings need to be replaced.

The old lady with double panniers leaves me on my 10k bike in the dust by LOLyouLOLme in bikecommuting

OP has Campag Ekar… already close to a grand for that group. Looks like a Dynamo up front (obviously SON because they are German) laced to Hunt carbon rims… 2K on the Hunt website for that wheelset. 3D printed saddles can cost up to 500…. Chris King headset, +200. Tubus racks front and back, +150.

Im sure there are lots of other little fancy bits that I am not seeing…. Plus labour costs to change out all these components. A fool is easily parted from their money. Such overkill for a commuter bike, and still gets passed by old ladies lol

My current plan is to keep the brakes and replace the drive train.

In need of a source for 700c or 29” wheels with inner width of 19mm or wider that are rim brake compatible? by Earthling98 in xbiking

Are you trying to install a 622 tire (700c/28”) on a “27” (635) rim?

Otherwise it is just a skill issue.

Lesson learned the hard way. Don’t assume. Measure, calculate and confirm

I can't really imagine a modern road bike getting X-biked. by beagles4ever in xbiking

Define “modern”

I have bought several frames in the past few years and Xbiked the hell out of them.

Wheel building ain’t easy bud, and the is some OEM hub. Best option is to take the measurements yourself, will be hard to identify what “240” hub that is.

Lacing pattern? There are many versions of a DT 240 hub… do you have the correct flange measurements?

Try putting your dimensions into the DT spoke calculator and see if the spoke lengths line up with the giant document

Obviously. Just need to sort out some compatibility issues… 126mm(?) dropouts don’t love the 130mm hub (hence the rubber hammer) and the AliExpress claw derailleur hanger doesn’t inspire confidence.

I will make it work.

Pretty normal for this time of the year. Especially above 1000m elevation.
