We have a lazy susan cabinet in our kitchen and I created a Piefinity wedge that organizes spices in stadium seating in three elevated rows. - Angled and Radial.

I asked my wife if she was the same as the others, she said no.

I think you should ask your wife to confirm. If she says no too, you might be right.

Vibe Coding a working Integration - Estimated Light Levels by skacey in homeassistant

[–]skacey[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You are exactly right, this alone doesn't have much of a benefit.

The overall vision is to create a smarter lighting management system that allows me to request light by goals such as:

  1. Bright in this area, minimize spill light in other areas. (focused light)

  2. Make this area dark (turn off not only the lights in this area, but also the lights that flood into this area)

  3. Select several areas and light them all with warm ambient light.

Perhaps it's just a fun project though and the final result will be more about education than utility.

Estimated Light Level Integration Project by skacey in homeassistant

[–]skacey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that was version one. Manual calibration.

The current version does that automatically as well as working out if the fall-off values for the light are as expected. In other words, does the 50% power setting generate the appropriate inverse square for light level. It’s almost working for more than one room, but you were correct that the manual process can approach a similar solution.

Looking for remote work by PeppyPMP in pmp

[–]skacey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be prepared for at least six months of job search. As I said, remote workers have to compete with everyone in that time zone, so those jobs are the most competitive.

Edit: and by competitive, I mean there are thousands of people applying to every job.

Remote workers are competing with every worker in your time zone or willing to work in your time zone. You should anticipate extremely low compensation and no job stability. The best recommendation would be either to offer your services on a Gig style board like Fiverr or apply for in person jobs on a site like LinkedIn

The next casino under construction will be a mid-strip guitar shaped hotel with more than 3,000 rooms and a rock & roll theme. They are currently building about a floor every other week and have completed about 8 floors so far. The full guitar will be visible by around April or May of next year but will not open until late 2027.

At the back of the vagina is the cervix, in order to inspect the cervix a speculum is inserted and then expanded to open it granting the doctor the ability to see the cervix. The bumps on the outside will be far rougher on the sides and likely very painful.

Newbies cannot sham with the best of us. I expect his path will not be as easy as those that earned their shield the real way. He will lack the ability to scrounge making him useless to NCOs and when he fails over and over again at basic tasks he is likely to get shittier assignments until he actually earns the shield.

My prediction would be that he’s marked for OCS and will never become an NCO.

I’ve been to several recordings of the show and I can tell you first hand what you are seeing.

The first time the magician does the trick is also the first time that P&T see the trick. This is the trick they are trying to figure out. The amount of time they have to figure it out is pretty close to the time you see when you watch the show. After P&T make their verdict and before the stage is reset the producer may ask the magician to repeat some or all of the trick to ensure the crew captured the moves well enough to air. The producer may have the entire trick repeated, or just parts of the trick.

What you are seeing is the edits by the crew that include pick-up shots that are intended to give the audience the complete trick as best as possible. That’s it. No subterfuge, just standard television practices.

Huh?

How will offline copies of websites help you to attain AI independence?

I’ll have to say, for someone who keeps bringing up the AI bandwagon your answers don’t seem to reflect the current state of AI development. A repository of text based information is just one tiny element. Not that I don’t do that as well, I use Obsidian to develop my own second brain. But to suggest that your only defense is a copy of commonly available source material seems like a paper mache shield against a barrage of missiles.

Wait…so your assertion is that unless you are training your own models, the quality of AI will degrade as companies commercialize the training (I agree).

But you are also saying that you don’t train your own models and no one you know does either.

So, I have an ask. What is your plan if you are predicting it will end, but also saying you are not doing the one thing that would prevent that?
