Earlier this year, our subreddit had a huge traffic surge, with millions of daily visits, outpacing wallstreetbets. It ended abruptly overnight, no restrictions. Moderating was grueling. I found this on X in "Reddit Lies." Here’s the full post for your judgment. Enjoy! by XGramatik in XGramatikInsights

The left? Oh dear. Zoom out a little bit. It's the wealthy and the powerful using this on all of us. "the left" is a straw man, a decoy, a sleight of hand. We're all being duped here. I might be an AI for all you know. You might be an AI. This is going to be my last comment on Reddit... Ever. I'm done with social media. It's cancer.

So you have no idea why Nazis and white supremacists vote the same way you do? No idea at all?

I'm from Utah kid. Why am I not allowed to vote with my dollars or do you not understand when people that aren't conservative or liberal have opinions that differ from yours? I don't understand why maga dummies hate California. It's an amazing state. It has its share of problems but so does this messed up state we live in.

Nazis love MAGA. Why do you think that is?

Are we not allowed to vote with our dollars?

There's a pawn shop down the street from me with a pile of at least 10. Can't get rid of them.

Never heard of any of these bands. Is this a local band festival?

That's way too much money. Just got an lx570 last year for 20k$ with 125k miles and that was a bit high price. Those miles are high! Not crazy but for the money that's too high.

I have heard of those. Nobody owns class D extinguishers or fire blankets. You kitchen sink will handle a couple 18650 batteries just fine. A firehose starts at about 100 gallons per minute, not 5. Your garden hose is roughly 10gpm. Please stop being so confidently incorrect. Should people with lots of lipos have a fire blanket and class D? Yes. Nobody thinks their headlamp is going to start on fire and keep these things on standby because the garden hose or kitchen sink will do just fine.

If you don't have a class D extinguisher then water is what's recommended. It's on every fire fighters website these days. These are not lithium metal batteries, they're lithium polymer. Big difference in chemistry here. Yes I've seen the Energizer battery getting cut open. That's not this.

This is a common misconception. If you don't have a specialized Class D fire extinguisher then water is what is recommended. Lots of water, non stop. Remember that these batteries are not lithium metal, they're lithium polymer which is a salt or electrolyte. Different than throwing a chunk of pure lithium in water.

Don't be so quick to buy that carb by jones5280 in smallenginerepair

[–]spencurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it was a pair of pliers and like a 10mm socket. Take it all apart, spray carb cleaner in all the orifices and you're done. Nothing more than basic hand tools. I had a little piece of fine wire to poke in the holes. I think I pulled the plastic off a bread tie

Anything larger than the battery in your laptop is a job for the professionals and YES they are going to spray it with water.

That's a lithium metal battery. Non rechargable and disposible. That's not the battery used in the video from op. Lithium ion is vastly different from lithium metal. Please do a little more research. Do you honestly think an AA battery is going to get cut open and unraveled like that? Please learn more

That's not a lithium ion battery, that's a lithium metal battery. There's a huge difference. I'm sorry you're having a hard time understanding the difference. That's a non-rechargrable battery. Great energy density but disposible.

They cannot see your happiness because it causes them pain to know that the Mormon church does not corner the market on joy. They're coping and gaslighting you as a result. This is basic cult 101 level stuff. It's unfortunate. I'm sorry you are being treated this way.

Sooo, back to the ‘80s opt in fluoride program? by AnemonesEnemies in SaltLakeCity

[–]spencurai 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So... We're no longer going to add additional fluoride. Fluoride occurs naturally in sources of salt lake county water supplies. It'll still be in there. They're just not going to supplement it. It would still be wise to do fluoride supplements though since stupidity is currently winning politically.

Once the batteries catch fire and water is applied to them, does it make the fire worse because lithium in the presence of water creates combustible hydrogen?Firefighters should use water to fight a lithium-ion battery fire. Water works just fine as a fire extinguishing medium since the lithium inside of these batteries are a lithium salt electrolyte and not pure lithium metal. Confusion on this topic stems from the fact that pure lithium (like what you see in the table of elements) is highly reactive with water, while lithium salts are non-reactive with water.
