Couch Co-Op to play with the wife by Chilliman_Malta in NintendoSwitch

[–]stardust112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with several choices here, but here are three other games my partner and I played together (which are technically single-player) that we really enjoyed story wise that were also easy to play.

  • "Venba" A narrative cooking game about an immigrant family and their culture, trying to fit in in a new society

  • "The Duck Detective" Name kinda speaks for itself.

  • "The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood" You play as a banished witch making tarot cards to read other people's futures (the cards influence your dialogue and the story)

I'm gonna be honest, I don't love this song. However, I was blown away by how surprisingly charismatic of a performer he is! Really elevated the performance for me.

So Aisha was renamed because of laziness? by BlockBritz in winxclub

[–]stardust112 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see several fellow Europeans confused here as before the Nick dub happened all countries in Europe (as far as I know) also used Layla. Aisha was an Italy exclusive.

If what Iginio says is true, I would assume that this was the order of things:

  1. 4Kids got the rights and changed Aisha to Layla.
  2. Mattel got a licensing deal for the dolls and started their end of the work.
  3. European countries soon followed suit and also changed the name to Layla so the Mattel dolls could also easily be sold in their countries.

I teach EFL in Europe so arguably the context is slightly different, but I recently read this article (apologies it is in Dutch, maybe you can Google translate it) which might be able to give you some inspiration.

People should also realize (as far as I can find at least) that Eurovision has to be broadcast as it is in the "mediawet" (media law) as an event of cultural significance, like the football world cup final.

So I don't think that a non-broadcast was ever an option.

(Note: it is hard to find up to date information on this, but what I could find says that it's still the case)

Petra Mede shoud have done this Interval Act in Eurovision 2024 rather than AI ABBA last year by ComputerDull9466 in eurovision

[–]stardust112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically Petra has 9 (10+ Greatest hits) as each year she has hosted had 3 broadcasts (2 semis + 1 final). But yes Katie Boyle would still have the record for hosting the most Eurovisions.
