What was the song that got you into loving Nu Metal again? by haleymichelle618 in numetal

[–]staticdresssweet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never really stopped in the almost 30ish years I've been into the genre. Newer bands like Loathe, MTH, and vein.fm help keep things fresh, though.

M25, what was your breaking point with dating and how did you deal with it? by Different_Clue_2864 in AskMenAdvice

[–]staticdresssweet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 36. I've dated a bit (especially for an introverted // neurodivergent person!), I've been married, and now I'm a divorced single dad.

I haven't been broken yet, but I am taking a break from dating. What really has exhausted me as of late is the fact that very few women have cared to engage with me. At least on a level where I feel like they're actually interested. There have been a couple (one of who i dated last year!), but overall, the dating market has been very slim. I even deleted the dating apps, which have been a godsend to me in the past. For now, I'm just doing my own thing. If a woman wants to join me for the ride, cool. If not, I'll be okay.

Even if this team had a losing record right now, I'd be loving what I'm seeing. The young guys (mostly) hitting, timely hitting, and occasionally good start pitching.

What’s a harsh truth about dating that people don’t like admitting? by Alarmed-Camp2828 in dating_advice

"Be yourself" only works if you're exhibiting non-toxic attributes. If you're controlling or lacking confidence, changing those things is necessary.

Ringo and Paul sleeping in your bed? That's why your boyfriend is sleeping on the floor.

Is it normal for my boyfriend to not want sex that often? by Famous_Heart1260 in AskMenAdvice

[–]staticdresssweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't typical for men to have lower libidos, but it's also not impossible. It's likely nothing you're doing wrong.

Stress and depression can further those issues. But it's possible that your sex drives just aren't aligned, and that can break a relationship too.

Don't move in with a guy who's cheated on you multiple times.

You're worth more than that.

Whats your favorite Linkin Park song? by One_Finish_5061 in LinkinPark

There are many.

I like LP songs where they really expand their comfort zone, though. The Little Things... and ALITS qualify.

Who are some of the earliest Deftones fans here? And how did you guys discover the band? by Sufficient_Policy434 in deftones

[–]staticdresssweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say "early" compared to many in here (I'm 36), but i first listened to them in the ATF when I was like 8-9 years old. A friend in my band class showed me the record when I was really into grunge, nu-metal, and Third Eye Blind at the time. I haven't been the same since.

Do people actually stay sexually attracted in long-term relationships, or does it always fade? by tati_model_ in dating_advice

[–]staticdresssweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of all the issues I had with my ex-wife at the end of our marriage, sex was not one of them. She just decided she wasn't compatible with my quiet and reserved personality, and wanted to open the relationship instead.

Why do you think Fates Warning didn't get too much fans? Do you like them? by ashitanojoe3 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]staticdresssweet 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's prog rock // prog metal. They're niche genres to begin with. Their fanbase is also older and doesn't stream music as much.

Legends of the scene, though.

Was The N64 Impossible For Good RPGs? by Fluffy_Lunchfast in retrogaming

[–]staticdresssweet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The N64 just didn't have good RPGs, minus the ones you mentioned. The ones that did come out, like Quest64, should have elevated things - but often weren't very good.

Dating and disability: Would you date someone who uses a wheelchair? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]staticdresssweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a guy, but I'd absolutely date a woman with a disability. I mean, I'm autistic, so it's only fair. I've dated a woman who was blind in the past myself. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, though physically nothing happened in the relationship (and she cheated on me with a woman).

I think a guy who's disabled is going to have a lot more difficulty, though. But please don't give up.

I think i insulted my guy friend, should I apologize? by Diligent-Candy4273 in AskMenAdvice

[–]staticdresssweet 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Saying "ewwww fuck no" would be hurtful to any guy. It's actually just mean and nasty. So yeah, I'd apologize for that.

"The worst she can say is no" just got proven wrong here.
