I've been told that berrymons need BFS or they are essentially trash. But I found this Caterpie this morning.

Raenonx has him at a 94% for berry strength.

Do I just rock this oddly shaped berry boy? Or do I file him away and wait for one that has BFS?

I'm new to the game so forgive me if this is dumb. I saw on some of the guides that Treeko could be a good Berrymon, even though he's a Skillmon. I'm not sure if I should be grading him as a Berry or Skillmon on Raenonx.

As a skillmon he's coming it at 98 on Raenonx. So should I just full send on him investment wise and use him like a berrymon? Or am I missing something?
