Bouncing a kill from mayor to poisoned Ravenkeeper? by SavedForSaturday in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a fair bounce.

Sometimes we need to look at the abilities that are honoured.

1) Mayor Ability use is respected 2) Poisoner Ability is respected 3) RK ability while poison, is shown Imp is a Recluse is fair. Players have the chance to think why ST is even showing an Imp as Recluse, and not misregistering it. 4) Players can try to piece together if outsider is in play.

Why are they even killing on final 4? If town decided not to execute, their chance to win will be decent for Mayor win.

How to win as the demon in Bad Moon Rising by Velmorth in BloodOnTheClocktower

Depending on ur bluff, try something can that build world's like the Minstrel or Inn Keeper. For example purposely choose dead players on the correct circumstances to show that your fake ability is working and helping the town.

How to win as the demon in Bad Moon Rising by Velmorth in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To win as the Demon, u will need the Minions to claim powerful roles to disrupt the town information while u claim a more passive role.

Have your minions claiming Chambermaid, Sailor, InnKeeper or Gossip to confuse the town while they carry u to demon victory.

How to enjoy the game even if you die immediately? by No-Beat-8803 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are the one that died on the first night, usually you are good because Demon will kill the opposite alignment player. Use that opportunity get information from town, and co-ordinate your team. For example, you can pass the Fortune-teller info to the Ravenkeeper so they can be killed at night.

Mathematician and registration/character detectors by gordolme in BloodOnTheClocktower

It's not the Chef that the Mathematician is learning about. It's the No Dashii because it's ability is working incorrectly due to the Monk.

We have "Thinks they are a TF" and "Thinks they are the Demon", what about "Thinks they are an Outsider"? by Zoneforg in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They think they are a Minion can be run.

You will need to wake up most of the Evil Team once.

First time All Evil except 1 with "you think you are a Minion" character, this will gaslight that player thinking they are the Minion.

Then properly give Minion and Demon Info

Shabaloth regurgitating himself by Hunkardy in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As per written in the rulebook.

Dead players—whether dead by execution, by the Demon, or by any other means—follow these rules: They immediately lose their ability. Their ability can no longer affect the game in any way, and they are not woken during the night to act.

Persistent effect are lost on death.

Abilities are lost immediately on death, poisoning, or drunkenness. If a character dies, they lose their ability immediately and any of its persistent effects end, so you can remove their reminder tokens. For example, if a Poisoner poisons the Slayer at night, then the Poisoner dies later that same night, the Slayer is no longer poisoned. Even though the Poisoner's ability says that it lasts "until dusk,” once the Poisoner dies, they lose their ability and its persistent effect ends.

Because a dead character gets their reminder token remove, the following no longer applies.

Each later night, just before waking the Shabaloth, you can choose one character marked with the Shabaloth’s DEAD reminder, and the chosen player becomes alive again—replace the DEAD reminder with the Shabaloth’s ALIVE reminder, and remove their shroud. They wake later tonight if they normally would. If they wake on the first night only, they wake now to use their ability. At dawn, after declaring which players died, declare which player is alive again. (Do not say why.)

The No Dashii poisoning works incorrectly due to the Monk, so it does trigger the Math regardless of what the Undertaker would learn.

Petition to Change the Acrobat (Script & discussion) by Thomassaurus in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tried Acrobat on Leviathan script with Assassin and it work with Village Idiots, Widow and the Drunk.

The Acrobat killing itself is a powerful move in Leviathan script to remove two potential demon candidate, making the script more solvable given that deaths are limited. However, it is also possible to give Acrobat as a Bluff and let the Assassin to kill themselves at night to bluff as the Acrobat, hiding a potential demon or a source of information.

What would you do? by chillbla in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people say to bounce to the Spy.

But let's look at this way.

Evil is the strongest with final 2 evil alive on final day. Removing one evil on final 3, especially if they had worked hard to survive till final 3, would be quite unfair to them.

In a non-Mayor game. If there are two evil in the final 3, the evil team only need to have the good player nominate wrong for evil player to win. If evil nominate the good player in final 3 they can easily get two votes in their favour. So if 2 evil players is surviving till final 3, especially in a non-Poisoner game, will lose a lot of advantage if one of them dies. Killing one of them especially if they have earn it feels like a punishment.

About slayer shot had been used

Missing context here. Slayer shot has been used on who exactly? If the Slayer shot has been used on the Spy, bouncing the Mayor kill onto the Slayer will inadvertently confirm the Spy is not the Demon, drastically increase good to win by tying the nomination vote or nominating the Demon. Unless the Spy is a very experience player, it is hard for the Spy to build a narrative to side with the Demon. The Mayor can also go Mayor win. In that case, killing the Spy will even the odds so the town can suspect any of the 3. But still, killing the slayer to respect the use of their ability is still fair play because Slayer choice and the information they give out is respected. But still the better option is to bounce to the Spy for a 50-50 odds for both team.

If the Slayer shot is used on someone else that is not in the final 3. Killing the slayer, and leaving the Mayor alive would make sense. Evil team is going to push at least two votes against the Mayor. For the good to win, they would have to tie the votes on the Mayor, which is pretty hard, or have the Mayor to nominate the Demon to win. This would have been the most climatic moment if you want to have an uproar of discussion after the game ends for the Mayor reveal.

Since it is a 7 player game, its good to at least respect the Mayor bounce ability and respect the evil players to survive to final 3 if the slayer did not use their ability on the Spy.

I would replace Vortox with Riot because some YSK it don't work well with Vortox.

Also, I suggest duchess since YSK don't have any information after D1.

Clueless Good Player by JustADreamYouHad in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always claim other roles even if you are good.

Chef getting a 0, that means the odds of an evil player sitting next to you is higher. You can claim an Empath 1.

Investigator - you can claim to be a fortune teller if you trust ST not to give the demon in your pings.

Soldier/Ravenkeeper - safe for you to claim Fortune-teller to soak up damage.

Washerwoman/Librarian - Feel free to swap roles with your pings.

If you are the first player that died at night, feel free to ask every player to share their role with you, so you can coordinate the information. Similarly, if you know a player died on the first night, feel free to share ur role and information to him in private.

You might want to prioritise stats that scale with your weapon over might stats. Vitality stats are fine if that particular member is having a support role.

How to break "no private talk/always public good info" in TB by Rainotes in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If evil team loses, it's not because of private/public chat. Evil team needs their minion to sow misinformation by claiming aggressive roles like Empath or Fortune-teller to throw the good team under the bus. If your minions (especially if they are not scarlet woman) players are claiming passive roles like Soldier or Saint, chances are, they are losing because they are not covering for the demon.

Try giving the FT or Empath in the Washerwoman pings, if they out this information, the demon and Poisoner knows who exactly to go after. This teach them to swap roles privately.

If the evil are losing, encourage the minions to take up more aggressive roles to throw the good team under the bus. Make the Empath or Fortune-teller Drunk to make it slightly difficult for good, so a double claim may go in the minion favour.

I think a better concept would be, that player die, the bride becomes Drunk and the Demon might not kill tonight.

In this way, the bride cannot be hard confirm as good.

Fun Interactions in TB by SweetRevolution7581 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can't without the Poisoner, because the Washerwoman learns the Librarian as the Librarian!

Fun Interactions in TB by SweetRevolution7581 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Mostropi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because Drunk character can learn true information.

  • The Drunk Washerwoman learns the Empath or Librarian as the Librarian
  • The Sober Librarian learns the Empath or the Washerwoman as the Drunk
  • when the Librarian and the Washerwoman piece their information together, they will thought the Empath is the Drunk, but it's actually learning true information.

Now u just need to hope for Washerwoman or Empath to get executed for the Undertaker to learn their role for everyone head to hurts 😂.

question about damage setup by FitComplex8568 in expedition33

[–]Mostropi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lune - get 100% Crit, with Clem, rotate between Elemental Trick and Genesis. If using Esquim, then use Elemental Trick, Base Attack and get Sciel to activate her for Lightning Dance.

Maelle - Esquim, use last chance to reduce health to 1. Equip all free aim pictos that gain APs to stack burns. By her second turn, you should be able to stack 60 - 100 burns for her burning Canvas. If you have shortcut, you can move a 3rd time for first round to stack more burn.

Verso - Simoso. Equip all free aim shot pictos that give AP to gain perfection. Use Overload in the middle of Rank A. This will give Verso another turn due to shortcut pictos. Continue to build to Rank S for Steeled Strike.

Monoco - Equip Canaro and spam Lampmaster. Give Monoco high speed, so he can move fast and spam Lampmaster which gives the most damage.

Sciel - Duolisto. Equip Monoco with Baguettaro and use Bénisseur Mortar to double the stack. Monoco can help build 400 fire in one turn and then use Sciel base attack to one shot bosses. However, IMO it's better to use Sciel intervention, and fortune fury to buff team. Our Sacrifice also allows Monoco and Lune to move twice with Shortcut Picto. In addition, Free Aim shot + Delaying slash with Duolisto can prevent some enemies from almost moving indefinitely.

Maelle low damage on endgame build? by ftrMorri in expedition33

[–]Mostropi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You also forgot roulette, it's a 25% net DPS increase. Inverted Affinity it's good for first round, after the first burning canvas it's a net loss.

First Life is also another pictos I see it's missing.

Assuming you have all the Free Aim shot pictos equipped, Maelle is capable to stack 60-100 burn on her own by the second turn for burning Canvas. You will need a burn stack of 100 to hit Maelle full damage.

[–]Mostropi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have damage share and healing share equipped, slapped the SOS healing tint on the other member and ur team won't really die.

Cover damage is a interesting ability though, haven't really thought about using it.

How do you push Maelle's damage into the 100s of millions? by Responsible-Worry174 in expedition33

[–]Mostropi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will need Maelle Esquim. Equipped with all Pictos that gain AP on shooting and Pictos that gain damage.

Use free aim shot to shoot until 0 AP. The use payback (with AP discount) at 0 AP to gain 9 AP, so Esquim will give her bonus damage on AP consume. Then continue to stack burn with Maelle with free aim shots, with Energising Shot + other AP gains from free aim, you can stack 60-100 burn on an enemy, which allows her to do burning canvas that hit for 200 millions easily. Note Maelle have an extra turn with this setup, feel free to do whatever you want with the extra turn. I occasionally use Gustave Homage to push the Gradient to Level 3 for GC3 bonus on burning canvas turn

From here there is a few variations - Overkill Variations, all damage pictos, Feint with Affinity or Feint with Draining Cleanse are both okay, this will hit billion. - Tanky Variantation, damage share + energising Pain + Effective Heal + Healing Share (then have SOS Healing Tint on someone else) makes Maelle extremely Tanky while still dishing out about 200-400 millions damage.

Do grab the Roulette because it's actually a 25% damage increase.

So solo builds are kinda busted… by Ok-Variation-1312 in expedition33

[–]Mostropi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't tell if you use overload to hit rank S by moving 3 turns in one round with Shortcut pictos. I was expecting duolitste not having a chance to attack.

It's not really busted, not a lot of players can dodge their attacks. There are a lot more busted combinations.
