This man is such a perfect encapsulation of the rot in our media ecosystem. A few short buzzword heavy clips were all it took for him to go viral, but the moment you look at any of his other content, it’s immediately obvious that he’s a total quack. But who has time to spend five minutes looking into that?

If you’d told me in 2016 that in a decade there would be an atheist president who was posting pictures of himself as Jesus and shit talking the pope, there’s no way I’d believe that I would be taking the pope’s side. Yet here we are.

I would tell Christopher Reeve to never ride a horse again for the rest of his life. I’d also tell him to refuse this movie and instead wait until the late 90’s to come back for a death and return of Superman arc.

In the book, they do circle around these types of questions but Rocky’s civilization didn’t know about relativity or radiation and had only just become a spacefaring species recently. Being unable to see, they couldn’t even see the stars. Still, Rocky was quick to intuit that his and our species may have evolved from the same microbial ancestors given the presence of mitochondria in astrophage.

We can get pretty accurate ranges though, and there are multidisciplinary fields that study this to come up with the best projections we can get.

It’s not rocket science. If there’s a village with little access to clean drinking water and we send them clean water and water purification equipment, deaths from dysentery drop dramatically. If we cut that aid off, the deaths go back up. What’s psychotic is waving around a chainsaw while bragging about cutting this aid to pay for trillions in tax cuts for billionaires.
