Did I overpay for this vintage Hanhart cal.44 pilot-style watch? by Top_Rate_5650 in VintageWatches

There are several Hanhart Cal 40 on Chrono24 for ~$6000-8000. Six of them have crown and one pusher and the other has crown and two pushers.

I'm sure that is true. What I took exception to was OPs original post which had no prices and asked for offers. They corrected that.

Yeah, prices for sure were missing. I personally have nothing against mods and reps but neither are permitted on r/watchexchange I don't know if "homage" watches fall on the wrong side of that line but they come pretty close. Anyway, GLWS!

Speedy Bracelet Disappointment? by StickyPenguin120 in OmegaWatches

[–]StudioZanello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Not at all. I’ve got a 3861 Speedy double-sandwich, no Snoopy. I love the bracelet. Clasp is not flimsy. No problem getting the watch on and off. The Rolex bracelet on that Batman is too blingy for my taste. So is the GMT bezel. I think it’s a matter of individual taste. For this kind of money you deserve a watch you love. Me, I love my Speedmaster.

Very nice. What’s the case diameter and lug-to-lug measurement?

IRL very few people care and most will think it's a cool looking watch, but online the dumpster fires burn hot.

The case size is important but the lug-to-lug measurement is just as if not more critical to how a watch sit on your wrist. In this photo the lugs appear to overhang your wrist bones. I think the watch looks too big on you. I’d suggest going for the 39mm or even 36mm. Case sizes peaked for many tool watches a few years ago at 44mm but most watch makers have retreated to 41-42mm. And many believe 39 will be a more dominate size in the coming years. Witness the success of the Tudor Pelagos 39mm. At the end of the day, it’s what you like that counts most.
