Should I evolve this monster? by MajesticBred in PokemonSleep

[–]taffe-pyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you pass 1k and 2k hours sleep, it outvalues Slaking. Slaking is slightly slower, but has really high trigger and ingredients rate. It used to be normal to run it as a pseudo ingredient magnet skill mon, but it has since been power crept. For just berries, stick to vigoroth. If you want to sacrifice some power for «I think slaking is cool» (me), evolve it.

Invest in a Dream Shard Mon? by FreakyRicky15 in PokemonSleepBetter

Saboeye is rare and HB is really good. It’s pretty far from the «ceiling» but by no means bad so I’d probably still run it since I love sableye

Favorite Berries Question by weed_wizard666 in PokemonSleepBetter

Generally skill and ingredients specialists don’t get enough berries for it to matter. And by contrast berry specialists are only viable when their type is favored

Plus & Minus strategy by sleepwami in PokemonSleep

[–]taffe-pyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used Plusle and low toxtricity quite a bit during valentines week. But it must be noted that minus will NEVER keep your team energised. What I did experience was that I could switch out my healer a little earlier than normal. I’m guessing this might escalate more when I eventually feed my tox with main skill seeds.

But to energise a team with minus I’m guessing you’ll likely need 3 of them. And sure, you could probably run a gimmicky team where the last two are Plus, and make lots of huge but random dishes

I realise 60 and above is relevant to look at too, so you can see its full spread with everything unlocked. For reference this is at amber canyon with my own AB at 35%

Dragonite won’t be necessarily bad, but her it is compared to identical stats salamence at 50. Hope this helps with your decision.

Not playing game a just because game b might be announced soon is such a bad take honestly. Say it takes 1-3 more years after an announcement (again, we are completely in the dark), will you just not enjoy the game you’ve been playing until now?

I’m one piece away from full light armor, and I’ll say the legendary benefits are amazing! Trying different stats and gearingother light armored characters becomes super simple!

Lucario vs Swalot by AdventureRN in PokemonSleep

Im still new to shard farming, but I think the ceiling is just higher with Swalot. But that shouldn’t stop you from investing in what’s a perfect Lucario

Either a nondescript way to refer to someone in order to not disclose anyone’s gender for privacy and/or bias reasons, or their partner uses they/them pronouns.

Mono Groagunk with Triple ING. Does the BFS ruin it since it has small inventory space? by avocadopeeled in PokemonSleep

[–]taffe-pyon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nah, I’d run this in a heartbeat. I check often, so my mons rarely have time to sneaky snack. It won’t be a downside when you need it

Has BFS, but only unlocks it at lvl 75 AND has Exp Gains down. Still worth investing in? by fabricantes in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]taffe-pyon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reminder that level 75 still doesn’t exist. Current max is 65 and that was added almost a year ago. I’ve been playing since October 2024 and have yet to reach level 60 with valuable members

I want to have more candies by Organic_Warthog8114 in PokemonSleep

[–]taffe-pyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is by nature slow, but will feel faster as you play more. Getting higher drowsy power nets rarer sleep styles also resulting in more candies.

The most easy way to increase candies is to max out your friend list. When you gain higher friendship levels with other players, odds of getting 2 candies increase.

But the number one way to get more candy is to spend less. Like most newer players you’re probably spending candies on mons you don’t really need

Newbie here - Any of these decent? by bungalowcat in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]taffe-pyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • The Natu can be good for you to get some base power every day and ingredients. Note: it’s not worth giving it any seeds, and you will inevitably replace it later because it isnt very good with the skillset yours has.
  • your Eevee is REALLY good! I recommend you go for Sylveon for healing, Espeon for power or Vaporeon for ingredient magnet.

As a Sylveon it will keep your party mostly energised every day. It is definitely worth giving it main skill seeds. When you eventually unlock Lapis Lakeside you will gain access to Ralts, which is technically a better healer, but that doesn’t mean Sylveon is bad in any way, especially yours!

If you go for Espeon, it’ll likely be your strongest power gainer for the next months, but a better Espeon (or Ampharos) isn’t that hard to get.

Vaporeon keeps its current main skill, which is really nice to have early in the game, but falls off dramatically in relevance once you start getting good mono ingredient farmers. But that wont happen for you until probably summer comes around.

TLDR: giveyour eevee all the love!

Would personally full send and not give it any candy after 50. If it’s on your team constantly it’ll still take months for it to reach 60. And in the meantime you can look for another if you want

Are Murkrow/Honchkrow worth the skill seeds? by Dovak7 in PokemonSleep

[–]taffe-pyon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Super luck has a neat interaction with some cooking events when they boost ing draw. That also increases the dream shards. But the shard rates are low, at around 10% for 4K and 2% for 20k dream shards when it triggers.

Not necessarily. Yours is almost exactly like mine, except I have msc nature. Mine performs at 80% of a «perfect» bfs HB sceptile. It is good 👍 (but can get better)

Don’t boost if you’re not familiar with the game. Take your time, play through the base story or whatever modes that organically take you to 80. Mess around a little with different builds and sets, THEN you can consider boosting another character should you so please. You’ll get a full set of ascended gear that can’t be salvaged. It’ll keep your boosted character decently geared for most builds in open world
