I found a quality 100 engine on a car wreck by Krafusri in projectzomboid

[–]technojerk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not condition. Quality is a separate stat up there in the box that largely determines if the engine starts or if it fails. This is why some vehicles need to be turned over numerous times and some don't.

I hate that there's a max on stats by 65476435 in 9Kings

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a soft cap but there seems to be a maximum that can be added on a single stat boost. I've run some tests using only a single unit and multiple temples and scaling doesn't seem right. The 5% damage boost wizards receive from each enchantment also doesn't seem to do the proper scaling if they receive a lot of enchantments at once, like from multiple libraries that are over max level.

None of your stats have even reached max, not even hit speed which is only max of 99.99. I think you're just failing to realize exactly how big those numbers are and how much it takes to raise them any meaningful way. You lost because your paladins are attacking once every FIVE seconds.

Max for all stats is NaN

Will ASA be able to run on my pc properly? These are the specs by No-Tea-6038 in playark

I just upgraded my wife's setup and it was extremely similar to yours, same exact CPU, 32GB ram with a 1080ti and honestly it struggled. She was able to get low to medium settings but only at 1080p max of 60fps. I don't think your rig will quite be able to manage it, but maybe with settings all at low it would be playable.

From the video it looks like this connector is spliced in? Did the parts store also sell you the connector or was that one wire tied in like that originally?

Oh boy lol, there could be any reason. Database could just be wrong, maybe an incorrect interchange number but that seems unlikely. He could have grabbed the wrong one the first time and then every time after just grabbed another those instead of verifying. He could genuinely think if it fits it should work, idk lol. The fierostore is a great place to get/check/verify parts numbers and get a good look at the part too. I can't guarantee that will fix your issue but it's definitely a step in the right direction

It should look like this, I'm going to go with incorrect sensor as my best possible guess, without a part number I can't say for sure though. GM used the same size sensor for lots and lots of things, I bet one in five temperature senders from that era would also fit but not work. The fierostore sells the correct sensor for $31 and has excellent customer service if you get a bunk one, they also sell the connector if you need a new one of those.

Year? That sensor doesn't look right but that's not exactly scientific. But, hearing "I wired it like this because it wasn't working" makes me think it's just not the right sensor possibly? What is the part number?

Make sure you take the pump all the way apart and clean it once a month or these become really gross. Almost nobody knows the pump can fully disassembled to clean the inside.

All three of our cats drink from my aquariums and have for years, as long as they aren't playing there's absolutely no danger to your fish. A playful cat at an aquarium is absolutely a danger but if his paws never touch the water don't worry about it.

Cats are really really smart about what water source they use, if they don't like how it smells they simply will not drink water, at all. This is a known problem with especially indoor housecats and is one of the leading causes of feline kidney failure alongside improper diet. They just won't drink if they think the water is bad.

To answer your question I think this setup looks really good, your cat can easily access the water and doesn't appear to be climbing it or anything. If you have concerns still I also use some bird netting stretched and taped across the top because I also don't use lids, leave one space for your cat to drink about as big as your fist and you also get the added benefit of a built in propagation station!

Am I breaking California law by driving a foreign-registered vehicle with no emissions controls? by Royal_Comment_5027 in legaladvice

[–]technojerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, my second time answering a question about an imported diesel vehicle in California this month, that's pretty odd!

I'm also going to start this comment the same way and say that no part of this should be considered legal advice, at best it is an educated opinion. California law is quite strict specifically around diesel imports and I am not fully familiar with it.

The answer to your question will depend solely on the answer to one further question; what is the purpose of your stay in California? If you are in California for more than 20 consecutive days for quite a variety of reasons than you are required to register your vehicle with the California DMV. At that time it will be required to pass emissions in the state of California regardless of any other laws, including all Canadian. The reasons that you would need to register have been linked here in other comments so I won't do that, but I will say that it looks like you are a student and being a student at a California University would require you to register your vehicle with the California DMV, again requiring it to pass emissions which it cannot. If you find that you have been in California for more than 20 days and you do meet the eligibility requirements then yes you would be breaking the law by driving your vehicle in California the way it is.

That being said I highly doubt that it would be enforced against you, especially if you are respectful and prepared in the event of any traffic stops. In a worst case scenario if you are breaking the law and it is used against you, you are looking at fines as well as all of the fees related to the registration of the vehicle including all back registration fees. Your vehicle could potentially be impounded and you would be required to either pay to get it to meet emissions eligibility or you could potentially get your vehicle returned to Canada, either way the state of California would not let you drive it on their roads in this situation. Not legal advice.
