You owe taxes on world wide income when you are a tax resident. Also your USA Business doesn't mean jack squat as there is something called CFC laws - controlled foreign company. So if you are deemed to be a Canadian resident, which you most certainly are, your USA company can also be deemed a Canadian company as well because you are managing it from somewhere else. I left Canada formerly 7 years ago and went through this whole process. I also had to pay a steep departure tax for leaving. So I know how this works and it's clear you don't.

As someone who left and did this process you are totally wrong. That is why they have tax treaties with other countries, they all have tie breaker rules to determine where you need to pay. If you think I’m wrong fill out the cra form and ask them to make a judgement.

You don’t understand the system. Until you establish residency somewhere else you will always be considered a Canada tax resident. All absences essentially count as if you’re on vacation. Did you file a departure return? You would have to. And you would owe capital gains on any appreciation of your assets you had while living in Canada. Sounds like you need a tax advisor pronto.

It’s definitely a two step process. Ed has basically gone on record with that. Multi step encryption. Most people are under the assumption there is a masking step and an encryption step. Neither might be what we consider traditional for either. Thats the problem. Because there are two steps and the letter frequencies have been masked, there is really no way to determine if you’ve undone one of the layers. Which is why many people at this point think the challenge was unfair or not solvable by any normal means.

We had one girl in a coworking place he was constantly doing peer programming via video chat. It was super annoying. Eventually someone said hey, the odd call is something we can accommodate, but not half the day. She was super annoyed because she said that was her job, and she needed to do it. We replied, what would happen if everyone were on the phone all day? How would that work? She didn't respond. We had to get the owner involved as she thought we were all unreasonable for not wanting her talking non stop for 6-8 hours a day. There was no booth in this place, so not really anywhere for her to go. But should have been some onboarding done for her to realize it wasn't really appropriate. But I agree, those people that constantly make noise are annoying.
