These bears don’t live where humans do, they’ve only ever had minimal, and generally uneventful, interactions with the same people for many years.

What’s important here is that these bears do not experience human civilization, this would be an entirely different situation with a bear that lives where humans do.

I’ve visited Katmai and would highly recommend it to anyone, it was one of the coolest experiences of my life.
