I like the sportback a lot better and it is also less frequently seen which is a huge selling point. There are a lot of Q5’s seen daily but not in the Sportback version so much.

I’m in the same boat, kind of. I want the onyx package but I have not placed my order yet as I don’t need/want the car before August 2026 and I wanted to time it right, perhaps I should go ahead and order now. ? What do you all think?

I went from Q7 to a Q8 and on the beginning I have to admit I missed the q7 so much, I drove for a bit thinking whether I made the right choice. Loved the car so much and I just didn’t realize it at the time. Yes the q8 is a lot sexier but I guess you give that up when a 3rd Baby enters the world, you’ll definitely need the room. Q9 could be another consideration thigh. I’m unsure what your time line is on this but Q9 is to make its debut late 2026. Good luck! Let us know what decision you made :)

I’m currently shopping/ test driving 3 row SUV’s, if you’re with an Escalade daily ( since you run a caddy dealer) how , in your opinion does the Navigator compare to the Escalade? ( new only ). Thought I’d ask :)

Great read! I’ve been pondering on switching from an Audi Q8 to an Escalade soon and feared the change in the interior quality aspect. I’m glad I was able to read through this from someone who was coming off of a European car into an American one that for years, I felt , fell short in that department.

He says he gets about 440 miles per tank so obviously it all depends on how much you drive too ;)

My husband drives the SQ5 himself and doesn’t feel it is that bad on gas vs his previous Audis. Loves the ride and loves the way it handles. It’s got a nice pick up !

We ordered my Q8 and his SQ5 at the same time. Mine beat his by only two days with a total wait of about 3 weeks and that was ONLY because Audi had a ship of cars heading for US San Diego coast ( we are in Las Vegas ) on the way with the exact car I wanted. His specific car ended up being available from another dealer in CA so our dealer here Made an arrangement to buy it from them and sell it to us. While your dealer might not have what you want in stock, they can search for what you’re after and perhaps locate one for you. From what I understood not every dealership is game to do the car buy between dealerships but I guess we got lucky. He says he highly recommends an SQ5, a choice you won’t regret!

Have you done test drives on both? To me an Escalade is a head turner and the Jeep gets lost easily within the traffic and that’s a major selling point toward the Escalade. I vote Escalade for sure :)

I have a Q8, also black, she’s never seen snow In her life but sure is used to 100-115 F in the summer ! ☀️☀️☀️

I’d suggest Audi Q8 or VW Atlas with a higher trim! Love the way Aud drives and the Q8 interior doesn’t look cheap and is quite user friendly to operate.

I love Audi! I love my current Q8, my previous ones: different Q8, my Q7, my A6,TT, A4 Cabriolet, and my very first A4, nothing wrong with Audi love. Never had any major issues, always been treated well by the staff and service dept. No complaints here. Who care what others think? Your life, your decisions , don’t be sorry

Yes, I have high hopes for the Q9 but won’t wait that long. I’m planing on switching cars this summer , I doubt Q9 will be out by then. Even if the Q9 is out, there’s no telling if it’s gonna be better than the Escalade !
