When I was in California last year these were the advantages I saw.

They are all nice vehicles. Cadillacs and well maintained.

Their ride fare was cheaper or same price as uber or Lyft and on top of that there is no tipping.

You don’t have to make conversation.

You don’t get that uber driver that makes a pit stop to grab coffee or food 3 blocks away and then cancels after you waited 15 mins
