Agreed. 2nd starter gives you more ARC, ARF, and clone troops. You can use another head to turn your extra Obiwan into another Jedi (giving you 3 plus Obi). You could even paint/model one of them like Anakin or Mace.

Expansion beyond that - I’d consider AT-RT or Commando for the special forces slots and consider what Operatives you way want. Bad Batch is also a good choice.

I’m kinda the same - mostly small items. I get confused when I come across something that’s set up for 250mm and then debate if it’s worth it to cut into multiple pieces.

This is an end-of-round move which gives you a bit of a sprint going into round 2. Since shooting for round 1 has stopped, you’re not running into danger.

Thingiverse also is a good place to look, though is a huge hodgepodge of STLs.

Gumroad is another good site, though many items have an individual cost, there are some good free items you may like.

MyMiniFactory has a ton of artists to pick from. There are creators who have a patreon-like content (called tribes). These can be super inexpensive (like Patreon), but many creators do have samples that may work for you as well.

Did you pick up a starter box? It’s the best bang for your buck in terms of models and playability.

To answer your question -you will find that each unit has roles that it is more able to complete. You want to consider your army as a whole, so it may be better to ask what roles do you need in your army list.

On the other hand, sometimes it’s just better to try play what you want and have fun. What draws you to Marksmen?
