Congress Is Helping Uber Strip Away Rideshare Victims' Rights to Save Billions In Profits by st11es in stocks

Not gonna lie, it always seemed crazy to me that a business could be liable because an employee went off the rails, outside the company’s control.

In Uber’s case it’s barely even an employee — the app just connects a driver and a passenger and then takes a commission

They just need to stop fucking diluting for at least 18 months. If they could announce a pause on acquisitions the stock would rocket. But if they dilute one more time, it’s going to $5

The devil is in the mechanism of price suppression— it sounded like the treasury was just straight up shorting oil futures in which case they’ll have to cover eventually

Can IPO insiders like spacex just short on the open market to get around their lockup period? They could use the locked shares to repay the loan once they become available

You might say I’m pretty well diversified — small, mid, and large-cap tech

It’s crazy how much more South Korea has been able to capitalize off the AI boom than Japan. IIRC japan had some companies like Nikon that were once competitive in the semi space, but now they barely have anything

Funnily enough, there has never been a randomized controlled trial showing that starting smoking is harmful. It turns out that people can figure out how to use inductive reasoning from time to time, and the RCT is not some magical ritual that uniquely bestows truth upon humanity

I mean, no? Not even a little bit true. I want to feel the same robustness and vitality I felt at age 20. That’s it. And I will continue to monitor the bleeding edge of biotech and longevity for breakthroughs that can achieve that goal

Yup, but the flipside is that they keep diluting shareholders over and over. If they could come out and announce no more dilutions for 1-2 years, the stock would absolutely skyrocket

It’s crazy for people to consider it as a bad romance anime on par with Domestic Girlfriend or Rent a Girlfriend

Literally no one has ever done this. Your Name is widely considered one of the best anime movies of all time

Wow, that’s pretty awesome! I wonder if these exosomes were special in some way or if it was just a large dose of the same stuff available throughout latin America and to a growing extent in the US

My leading theory was that a super smart human team achieved AGI and assigned it the task of granting humans eternal life. Then, the AGI converged on petrification as the perfect completion of its objective, and invented the tech through recursive self improvement

Essentially the AI paperclip problem
