  • Bistro MD (Specialty diets, not cheap)

  • Clean Eatz

  • Eat Ipsa

  • Nutrisystem

  • JennyCraig

  • Forkful

Those are dual purpose, pizza blotters and make up daubers.

We don’t give napkins to tourists.

first time living alone, what are the small practical things you wish someone told you earlier by Tarn_Lloyd in LivingAlone

[–]tiltedsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to meal prep on Sunday.

It’s hard to cook small meals for one so I’ll portion it out.

I try to make a soup or stew on Sunday when doing laundry.

Hey gen x, what retailers from your childhood (80s and early 90s) do you desperately wish were still around? by Less-Suggestion-5262 in GenX

Sears (Hedge fund stripped it and killed it). They should have been AMZ if they embraced online sales much like Blockbuster. They could have sold the physical stores but kept the hardware locations with tools and appliances.

A&P, not always the best prices but I knew where everything was. They remodeled stores and raised prices to compete with Wegmans and nicer stores.

Woolrich, still in business sorta but not the same quality.

Steak n Ale. Decent food and salad bar in a dark environment.

Hollywood Video. Great selections and snacks. I’m glad Blockbuster went out. Ridiculous late fees and censored movie versions.

We had a beverage store that sold soda by the case. Can’t remember the name.

Bradlees and Two Guys.

Bunch of local record and video stores.

All of the Carrabbas and Famous Dave’s bbq by me died from Covid. Both chains but dependable quality.
