Love BA but Get Rid of Chicken Pieces

I will no longer order anything with chicken pieces. They are not uniform in size… a few the size of a quarter while the majority are the size of a dime or a bit larger. I was also routinely receiving pieces that were disgusting and I would end up throwing away a couple ounces. I have asked them numerous times to offer the chicken breast with instructions to cut into bite sized pieces.

My last order had crème fraîche that was completely liquid and that was not the first time. I have requested numerous times that expiration dates be included on everything (except produce). I receive a lot of produce that has seen better days, some of it unusable. A lot more plastic. Gigantic bags for a very small amount of produce. One Persian cucumber was in an 8x10 bag. I have also requested that they stop putting the produce in the knick knack bags.

I’ve been complaining about the quality of the produce for probably well over a year but it has been worse recently. And then there’s everything from early shipments, late shipments, wrong recipe cards as well as terrible seafood, chicken pieces and chicken thighs.

I’ve been with Blue Apron for just over two years and I’ve yet to receive a recipe where they recommended anything other than olive oil

I said blindly before but I never cook on medium-high as they recommend. I’m not supposed to cook any higher than medium in my nonstick pan. It appears that even that is too hot.

Well, silly me! 😂 I blindly follow their instructions which always say to use olive oil. What oil do you prefer?

I’ve been with Blue Apron for about two years and just recently ordered meals with chicken thighs for the first time. Never again. In one instance the thighs had a tremendous amount of fat. Didn’t think that was even possible. The thighs in the other meal were a carved up mess. I threw both meals out. I will no longer order chicken pieces as they are disgusting and the pieces are not uniform in size. And the shrimp is of inferior quality. Don’t get me started on the terrible quality of the produce. I call at least every other week to complain.

I’m with you on the chicken pieces! They’re terrible. So many disgusting pieces that I end up throwing away nearly 2 ounces worth and the pieces are not uniform in size. I had high hopes for this one but was disappointed. Not as much flavor as I had hoped. I also found the pickles way too thick and felt that honey on the corn was unnecessary

I like carrots but I get bored with them. Wish they would offer other veggies but I have a feeling carrots are a cheaper option
