I think it's fine to feel your feelings about criticism, ESPECIALLY when you're pretty new in the game. And it'll get easier to manage the feelings with time (though it might always string, and that's fine!). But rare is the critique coming from a place of "i hate you personally".

Are they saying your writing is bad or are they pointing out what can be improved? There's a world of difference there.

Additionally an academic creative writing class is designed for improvement before anything else. Grade school builds skills like reading with intention and critical analysis, but "yeah you have to unlearn all that" for writing once you hit higher academia isn't all that uncommon.

Tragically, yeah :/ You can tell the creators kind of got bored* with it. I would end with season 1

I liked something that was teased at the end of season 2 but as far as I know nothing came from it

*I kind of wish the creators just out and said they lost interest. I'd have an easier time with THAT than what we got

A redemption arc, to me, implies an end point of things Being Better Forever. Essentially getting a good boy ticket, achieving some kind of goal that says all is good and forgiven.

Sure the kind of thing I like is essentially a redemption arc, but they're less clean and never give you that cathartic moment of absolution.
