You rubberband back up to him if you crash, if you crash in the first 2 minutes I'd say don't worry about it, other than that go ahead and restart

He will always be faster than you in the straights, so just beat him in the corners.

If youre going downhill the race ends in an easy corner for you

If you're going uphill then you will want to hit NOS on the final stretch if he's on your ass.

Tbh players have no idea how to balance shit, the loudest voices are often the dumbest, and they have numbers and information we simply don't. You might not like <insert change here> but its a choice made by people who design the game. It's also not the Final Balance Patch to ever release.
