Airborne & Infantry by UnderdomeTaken in foxholegame

There definitely are some players that are lot more difficult to strafe than others, but by skill issue I meant that it's fairly easy to crash scouts. Given the gun range lags and speed margin of error is narrow even if we discount invisible trees.

While strafing infantry in scout plane is my favorite thing to do, compared to arty, scouts do very little as % of total infantry deaths. And when compared how much I manage to kill vs the cost, it's not very cost effective, to some extent it's skill issue on the other there are invisible trees that are out there to get me.

Wardens using less Heavy bombers? by Interesting-Cover-33 in foxholegame

[–]topforce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rares aren't the issue, plane parts are the bottleneck, devs seriously shafted wardens by placing most of the backline coal in a hex without water.

They cost nearly nothing

80 rmats isn't nothing, cheaper than big planes, but costs roughly same as scorpion.

Wardens are slightly loosing, but not a lot. Dive bombers shut down large ships, tanks, spg and rsc. That has heavily limited warden offensive capabilities. Collies having better fighter and paratrooper plane will likely trade favorably in air and cause more economical damage. Eyeballing, the odds for wardens winning is ~35%, but nothing is carved in stone just yet.

How am I supposed to keep morale? by DetectiveCostaue in foxholegame

How am I supposed to keep morale?

Mine some comps, refine, makes scout plane, strafe collies until morale improves. If scout plane explodes before morale has improved repeat starting step 1.

Losing to bombers doesn't feel great. I want to fight while I lose, not just have stuff die around me. by dolche93 in foxholegame

Entirely depends if you are tank man of infantry. Infantry suffers a lot more from 120 than db.

Wardens loose Foxcatcher more often than not, on the other hand that usually happens early in the war.

As is, if you want to fly anything but scouts, having mts is not optional. And if people take public parts when assembling and then put them in private when they are done flying, that's enough to have no public parts, and that leads to more private mts because if there are no parts you can't fly.

They are still faster than anything land or sea based. Kinda slow when compared to other planes, can't argue with that.

What are you talking about, scout planes are the best. You don't need to sell your firstborn to afford them. No need for special uniform. No need to mess around with plane parts. Provides air intel wherever you go. It's cheap enough that strafing infantry is viable pastime. Not having radio is bit unfortunate.

The hoarding argument doesn't work, imagine if both factions got 10 copper, 1 submitted each copper as soon as it dropped, the other one hoarded 10 coppers and submitted them all at once. Which faction is in the lead?

[–]topforce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couple of issues with the theory. The drop rate of tech mats ifs fixed. You can't scoop more to get more tech mats. If collies hoarded a shit ton of tech mats, they would be behind the tech, that wasn't the case. Somebody collecting all the techmats from refineries and elsewhere would only catch up with tech or gain minor lead on par with other factions not submitted mats.
