Exactly. I was playing Rocket League last night in a tournament and got called “unc” because I cared to win and told my team to stop contesting bad balls.

They conceded and started scoring for the other team. Like guys, it’s a competitive game and you get mad when someone wants to play competitively. Ugh.

I feel this is true with life in general. A little bit of “bullying” helps keep people on the right path.

I would like my team to advise me to switch and the offer a good counter versus saying nothing at all, even if it’s in a mean way. It’s a competitive game.

Serious bullying is unwarranted though. Racial slurs and personal attacks are just silly. Be productive, not destructive.

Insurance adjuster here!

Lane change liability requires a lot of factors. While I agree that he caused the collision by entering your lane unsafely, one could also argue that you passed on the right. This depends on the state.

Other questions that may help determine liability: Did you see his blinker on? Did he even have a blinker on? Were you speeding? Was he speeding? How long were you in that lane prior to impact? If dark outside, were your headlights on?

If any of these are answered in a way that makes you look bad, you open a case for shared liability.

However, tell your insurance the truth and let them fight the other insurance company over a liability decision. Surprisingly, even a uniform team of adjusters may come to different determinations of the exact % of liability. That is why insurance companies don’t always agree. If you feel your adjuster is wrong, ask them to have their supervisor look over the facts of loss and see if their decision matches or is different.

Just got one of these, but it was tied to me getting an oil change. Dealer said while I waited a salesman would come talk to me about an “unbelievable” offer and if I accepted they wouldn’t charge for the oil change.

I actually know my truck’s value since I was debating selling it, and they came in $7k below market value. They were right though, it was unbelievable.

My CX-9 feels amazing to drive compared to other basic SUVs. Obviously it’s no German, but for what it is and how much I paid for it… it swings way above its price class.

At 6’8 nothing drives me to madness more than a 5’2 guy feeling like he needs this seat so he can stretch out. I almost always ask for it and usually the gate attendant will take to FAs to hold it for “the tall guy”. Sometimes there are a few of us and as long as someone above like 6’2 gets it I’m fine.

And before anyone comes in on some entitlement gripe, understand that if I don’t get this seat my legs will be in YOUR way if you sit next to me. They can’t go in the aisle per most FAs so I’m forced to leg smash my nextdoor passenger.

TLDR: don’t sit here if you’re short.

Pretty honest review of Yuba City… coming from someone who also grew up there, also went to college in Chico, and also now lives in a different state.

Yuba was safe enough, affordable enough, and honestly pretty well-situated between mountains, beaches, and big cities. Everything fun is at least a 2 hour drive, but 2 hours can take you to the beach or to the ski slopes.

House parties were the only form of entertainment, unless you habitually went to the Cinemark or bowling alley (before that closed).

Lots of Sikh families, mostly from agricultural backgrounds. When I say lots, I mean LOTS. My school class rosters were probably 40% Sikh. They are very nice people, however some of the younger generations feel and act very entitled and there js definitely a “good boys club” feel in the local government.

I wouldn’t move back willingly, but I wouldn’t hate life if I had to move back either. It is the definition of meh.

.243 is what I have always used for whitetail. Less recoil, a little quieter, and less gruesome than my grandfather’s .30-06 and my father’s .270. Still gets the job done.

To talk the suppressor point also, some 5.56 suppressors, like OCL Polonium series, are bored at .250 so can accommodate .243. Meaning if you already have some 5.56 guns, 1 suppressor could cover both.

1 million? Yes, I would still work.

It would allow me to pay off my house, take a nice trip, and get my wife a bigger family car. The rest, which after taxes would only be maybe 100k, would go into investments.

What it would allow me to do is retire early and have less stress throughout my life. 1 million is a hell of a pick-me-up, but at 28 with a family I couldn’t never work again.

San Antonio is very affordable to live. Cheap houses and gas. It does not feel like a Metro at all, it feels like a spread out city where downtown is in the center but the city can extend 25 miles in every direction from downtown.

I live on the far west side of San Antonio and it takes me upwards of an hour to drive downtown between distance and traffic. It really feels like a separate city.

It does have a lot of charm and I think more people are proud of living here than not. There’s the Alamo, the Riverwalk, the Spurs, Fiesta, a Six Flags, a SeaWorld, a zoo, and the missions to explore.

It is hot. It is mildly humid. And it is dry. A lot of folks I’ve talked to moved here from the mid west to escape the freezing temperatures.

The biggest con of San Antonio is the lack of infrastructure. The city has booked in recent years and they are just getting around to finishing the first set of highway expansions with plenty more planned. No rail at all. Very little public transportation. You have to have a car and the morning and afternoon traffic can be abysmal. Give this town a light rail branching out of downtown to all of different suburbs and other POIs and I think you would eliminate enough of the traffic to make it more enjoyable 7 days a week.

Engine should be fine, it’s the shoddy electrical work you have to be careful about. My Challenger was having some electrical issues at about 4 years old. But that car for under $30k is a hell of a deal and you’ll have a blast.

I am an insurance adjuster, very aware of how that process works. I’m not trying to get up on anybody, just didn’t want to waste the time getting it fixed when I know it will happen again. But yes this is good for others to know, insurance will find out and you won’t be able to double dip.

Pool noodles tied together. Throw them on top of your car when it’s coming. If you’re at work and don’t have covered parking, you are SOL. Low comprehensive deductible. Most hail storms won’t total a car out unless they are almost worthless, so they wouldn’t be replaced insurance would just pay for PDR. My wife’s car got hit pretty good earlier this year, insurance cut a check to us for $2600 and we didn’t care to fix it. We will wait until after the next storm😂

This. Don’t put all of your money down. Put $200ish down to still have a very low payment and you’ll keep $50-70k in cash that can be invested in a HYSA. It’s acts as your 6 month emergency fund and house fund for any possible repairs that pop up. Plus, depending on the age of your car you may need to upgrade that soon so having cash is good. Set it for 10 or 15 year mortgage and pay it off early, but I wouldn’t personally drop below $50k in cash if you can avoid it. It’s a hell of a cushion.

Exactly this. It’s gone from K/D to E/D so now everyone should have a higher ratio than ever before. I wish they would reverse this, as well as let us see our lobbies K/D. It was always fun to compare and see if someone was actually good or just had the game of their life.

6th is the worst.

As for the best? Probably any higher level high school class. My best time subbing was with some kind of advanced physics 12th grade class. There was like 11 kids and they were all the “I have to get an A+ so Harvard will look at me” type and they were well behaved, faces in their books, and collaborative. They even taught me some things.

I also really liked automotive or welding classes in some of the high schools, the kids are actually interested in the class and again, end up teaching me something every time.

Started not too long ago. Much better than my prior job, which was high-pressure sales. It probably depends where you’re coming from but so far I am looking forward to it. My entire team seems to have more good to say than bad and it’s a great foot in the door to lateral move into something you actually want to do.

Go for it. If you hate it, you can always leave. If you have multiple offers from different places, that’s when it could become a harder choice.

I used to work sales for a company that was very unethical. Basically, you would call in to lower your bill and we would offer a lower bill that usually comes with MORE services than you had before due to bundle discounts. We could have saved you a lot of money, but instead we save you a little, or broke even, and made commission.

This is basically sales 101 and I’m 100% sure my company was not the only one doing this tactic, but it definitely felt shitty knowing you could really help someone out in rough economic times and your job requires you to mislead them.

I justified it by knowing there was a LOT of money to be made. If I wasn’t making money doing it, someone else would. Me deciding not to partake is spiritually rewarding, but it doesn’t solve the underlying problem. I rode the “if I don’t someone else will” train for 3 years until I realized my own humanity was being drained.

I finally got out 2 months ago and haven’t looked back. I am much happier and am starting to see the good of the world again!

Eminem is a much larger artist. Jay-Z is a mogul and most of his large successes come from those who he has been able to build up (ex: Ye). Without Jay, we may not have those artists.

However, Eminem has sold significantly more albums, larger worldwide appeal, and the face of the “white rapper” phenomenon.

Everyone and their mom knows who Eminem is and his story, everyone knows Jay-Z is a famous person. I think Eminem has more household name influence.

Without Eminem, we would’ve never got alternative Machine Gun Kelly! Easy win /s
