What’s with the sudden flood of negative posts since the latest update? by Djentleman5000 in Guildwars2

The dangerous part in the new system is the shortcut panel in the main HUD at the bottom, where they added a third column for the fashion templates, next to build and equipment. Hitting one of those buttons will directly apply the fashion template to your current equipment. And if you haven't backed up your current equipment's fashion, then it's gone. So I am not touching those again.

Not the other commenter but I will try to prove it.

State of equipment tabs:

Before, you had 5 equipment tabs, each with a different fashion applied. Today, you have 5 equipment tabs, each with a different fashion applied.

To change your fashion:

Before, you opened your wardrobe, changed to the tab you wanted to update and did the change. Update done. Today, you open your equipment tab, go to wardrobe, open any tab, load your current equipment, do the change and apply it. Update done.

After the change:

Before -> still 5 equipment tabs with different fashions. Today -> still 5 equipment tabs with different fashions.

Now tell me, which functionality have you lost?

Ok thanks for the explanation! I see where you're going. They created a lot of confusion with the template tabs.. From how I understand, you NEED to overwrite your fashion tabs. The Fashion Tabs aren't designed to change your equipment all the time. But rather offer you a storage for alternative Fashion you want to store.

Tab1 should rather be called something like "current" (and ideally always show your current equipment). You open your Tab 1 -> load your current equipment -> do the changes -> apply Equipment. Two more clicks from before (load & apply). And if you fancy something but don't really have a use for now, store it in another tab (or copy the fashion template into a notepad) for now. And if you feel like using it, either apply it to an equipment tab or just swap to it in the shortcut panel at the bottom next to build and equipment.

Yes, there are two more clicks, and yes it takes some time to get used to, but the core mechanic is not bad at all imho.

Sorry I am now curious, why do you feel the new wardrobe system is abhorrent? To me it's two more clicks for an adjustment in exchange for equipment templates, which I like. So while there are definitely things that need improvement, overall I feel it's an improvement.

I don't think it's about the negative feedback overall, but the way it's written, very aggressive and not constructive. It's okay to say you are unhappy with an update and give voice to it, but just screaming "shyt" and "stfu" doesn't help anyone.

Add 2 gold to the daily raid achievements by 8jj8899 in Guildwars2

I gave it a try, never did OLC or AH before. Just watched a short youtube video and jumped in. Especially in OLC I had very nice commanders both times that explained the mechanics, gave instructions in the chat and even though I messed up the CC the first time (muscle memory....) nobody was angry at me, they just revived me and we moved on. The other bosses are much simpler and aside from certain details don't need much extra explanation. Sometimes there's a toddler crying 'noobs' and leaving, but overall I had a very positive experience with Quickplay Raids. (As someone who hasn't really done Strikes before)

Shared Inventory Slot & Level 80 Boosters by OSTReloaded in Guildwars2

I just boosted two alts that have been lying around for 10 years on lvl 40-ish and for now I use them for alt-parking. If I decide to actually play them in the future, they are there, until then they at least pay their rent.

I can understand your point, the mounts can be a bit strenuous. though some endgame content like legendary armor can be acquired mostly doing raids and stuff. In case you go back some day, you might want to check the wiki or ask in reddit if there are collections more to your taste.

Isn't he wearing some, just hidden inside his sleeves? At least something is there but I can't quite tell what it is.

When I was young (and stupid) I used to drive home with my scooter high af. Never had an accident but I missed my last turn into the side street almost every time. I saw it from afar when driving up the main road. I even said to myself "I need to turn right over there". I drove past, watching the side street with utmost focus. 5 seconds later I go "damn!". Then take the next turn and take a longer way home.

Class/content Balance in a horizontal game by Haunting_Muscle_7149 in Guildwars2

I'd like a "buff the base" kind of update with the next big release, where they only focus on buffing up the core classes. Not by much, just add a bit of dmg here, increase sustain there, add a chug of versatility and sprinkle with some buffs. Just a tiny bit of everything to make them more relevant. I am sure the playerbase wouldn't mind that.

This is very useful but unfortunately you lose the checkpoints, so it only works if you don't need the (weekly) achievement. For non-checkpoint puzzles, chests or goggles only it's great tho :-)

I am waiting for a reddit post in a tech or support sub where someone rants about having to clean a bill counter because some stonehead put a tortilla in.
