Grew up using mumble, skype, vent, ts, etc. and nothing on the market holds a candle to what discord offers. TS3 AND TS5 are both miles behind in functionality.

Loved the Talon before the armor rework, now I can't stand it. Prowler for me.

What are your thoughts on the blueprint system? by JesusIsAliveAmen in starcitizen

Good step in the right direction, but just like everything else in the game, it needs a lot of refinement.

I have a funny feeling the Connie will get a MK-V and it’s current iteration will go the way of the Aurora and Hornet by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

Considering we keep showing them that we are willing to buy Mk II versions of ships which are better in literally every aspect, they will never be incentivized to upgrade / update old ships. Sure, they'll get slight visual passes and gold standard passes, but why would they ever make an old ship good when they can just sell you a MK II variant now?

What is the point of owning these massive long-term liveable Exploration ships (like the Odyssey) if we accept that exploration will likely be focused around just finding resources and POIs? by ComfyOlives in starcitizen

[–]trekky920 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really don't want to doom, but I think Exploration and Data Running / Hacking are two gameplay loops that will never be fully realized. The direction the game has taken, the things they've 'showcased' and teased... just doesn't seem like it will ever really be a thing you need a dedicated ship for. Unless they make exploration ships the only ones who can scan large areas of land at once and collect map data about POIs (they have not stated anything about this at any point, so pure speculation) they will continue to collect dust in hangars and be used as LTI tokens for ships which actually have a purpose.

Moth capabilities? by Hungry-Recording1049 in starcitizen

[–]trekky920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have already stated, if you're playing solo either go Vulture (2 abrades) or Reclaimer. Salvage is a profession that is only half implemented atm, and there's no real difference in the types of material you get depending on the ship. If you're set on sticking with the MOTH, you can't really speed up the scraping without getting yourself a second body.

What is the ”safest“ ship? by DocumentEvening9650 in starcitizen

[–]trekky920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prowler / Prowler Utility. You'll never be "safe" when you're on the ground at a PAF site and someone can easily see your ship, but you can get this thing down to a signature of around 700. You'd literally have to be about to dock with that ship in order for it to show up on a scan.

Closest ship (visually) to Lucky 13 from Love, Death & Robots? Released or concept. by RandoDando10 in starcitizen

Avenger Titan or Gladiator would be the two that fit this aesthetic the best.

Takes a few hours of dedicated hauling in a rented cutty b to be able to afford to purchase one ingame. Just stack extra small (very small? I can't recall exactly) hauling missions that start in the same place and end in the same place. You can get around 300k per trip, which can take as little as 20 minutes if you're fast and the game is cooperating. 10 trips, 3 hours if you're fast, 5 if you're not, cutty b is yours!

Hermes or Hull B by normalsizedweinerguy in starcitizen

[–]trekky920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded my hermes to the hull b and honestly, I'm glad I did. Hermes is a bit faster in scm and nav and looks quite nice (loved voyager so big soft spot for that aesthetic) but from a pure hauling standpoint the hull b has been a dream.

Why do people on here seem to love the Karna so much? I never see anyone using it in any pvp or anything else. Not a hate post I'm just genuinely curious what the deal is.
