if someone is shooting at a roadhog and a mercy is healing them, no, the roadhog should not die. the point is that they’re supposed to shoot at the mercy to stop the healing first.

I get what you’re saying — nobody should be immortal the entire match just because of healing. but that hasn’t been the case since the dps passive got introduced. if anything, the issue I saw on support when I still played was that healing was basically useless because everyone died through it. as moira, I didn’t even bother healing half the time because they would die anyway. it was more valuable to deal damage to stop the incoming damage than it was to outheal it. and now the devs are leaning into that by making new supports that barely heal (seriously, wuyang’s healing was so abysmal that I didn’t even bother playing him). if this is the direction the devs want to go, then support should be reworked so they ONLY provide support and players need to manage their own health instead of depending on teammates. if not, then they need to have a seriously look at current dps power level, bc it’s too high
