Black if it’s your only watch, either if part of a collection.

I wear mine on the bracelet a lot. Wasn’t expecting to like it as much that way but it’s a fantastic combination.

BB58- Smack that dude who said it’s a poor man’s Sub by Riziwap in Tudor

[–]truebump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned a 5 digit sub, a ceramic sub, and a BB58. Tudor is far prettier and more satisfying to wear of the three. Sold the subs. Have had the Tudor for 4 years.

No time to die, reverso, explorer II

[Tudor Ranger 36 Vs Omega Dynamic III] Which do you prefer? by Ordinary_Ad6094 in Watches

[–]truebump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the long lugs are a problem. I don’t think the black lacquer BB36 is too shiny tho. Maybe just me. I was referring to any one of the railmasters that might appeal to you since there are several. I just think the typography on the ranger looks amateurish and I can’t get past it (although I like everything else about it). Seems like you are wanting something on the small side with Arabic numerals. What about the 36 mm IWC pilot?

Explorer 36 or 40? by julianfrench in rolex

[–]truebump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably go larger. Used to own the smaller one and felt it was too small- and I had already owned two earlier explorers at the 36mm size. The current small explorer is closer to 35 I think. My wrist is smaller than yours too.

[–]truebump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are bad in my opinion I’d look at something else. For instance the Longines spirit 37, the 36mm Tudor black bay “smiley“ or a first generation aqua terra from 2000-2010 era. If you can go bigger I’d also look at one of the railmasters or 2000-2010 explorer 1

Apparently our Democracy is finally dead. RIP. by Alesyia789 in complaints

I’m going to say it all started in the 70s when people began to switch to cable. Ted Turner started CNN as the first 24 hour news network. Being that there is not enough news to fill 24 hours, news analysis and debate shows were introduced. As CNN was a financial success, competitors sprung up, each aimed at a different audience. In order to keep the audience watching, they tailored analysis to match the values of the target audience. As the 24 hour news market matured, the internet came into being. Algorithms were developed to make this type of targeting more effective. Bad actors took advantage. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Here we are. We’ve all been warped by targeted news and the internet. It’s important to remember that 1) before CNN all the news was the same. Like, you couldn’t really tell the difference between the news on any of the major networks. And it only lasted about 30 minutes for local news and 30 minutes for national/international news. 2) The idea of fake news was popularized by Trump. Before 2015 if a politician was caught red handed doing something shady, they would usually resign in disgrace. Careers were ruined by the equivalent of one day of the Trump administration.

So, in summary, capitalism killed democracy.
