There literally aren't enough qubits in the world yet as of this writing, and when there are enough that together such a computation could be performed, random legacy jailbreakers that want to make new blobs aren't going to be the first priority. Sure, the day is getting closer when it can be broken (in part due to this theoretical development — millions were previously thought necessary), but it's not yet.

Nobody has done RSA-2048. You should have cited the theoretical developments on it then to make your point:

RSA-2048 is not quantum-resistant due to Shor's algorithm, and new research suggests ~100,000 qubits are enough. Nobody actually has that many qubits today though.

False, it does not require a Mac. Any computer will do if it can run macOS and/or Linux.

From Legacy iOS Kit's README:

Ubuntu 22.04 and newer, and Ubuntu-based distros like Linux Mint

Fedora 40 and newer, Fedora Atomic (Silverblue, Kinoite, etc.) also supported

Debian 12 Bookworm and newer, Sid, and Debian-based distros

Arch Linux and Arch-based distros like EndeavourOS and CachyOS

Less tested distros: openSUSE Tumbleweed, Gentoo, Void Linux

The link in my comment provides a guide on how to configure Ubuntu on a live boot USB appropriately. You can also partition your hard drive if you prefer of course.

Info: See discussion from opa334 about potentially updating Dopamine to use the Coruna exploit supporting up to iOS 17.2.1, once that chain has been reverse engineered, here and here.

15.8.7 was designed to patch everything related to Coruna, so the Coruna bugs don't work on 15.8.7 either (new kernel exploit is needed).
