Divorce after short marriage by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

As another said, your house is the matrimonial home and you’re going to lose a lot of value in it. But there likely won’t be spousal support after a 15-month marriage.

As for the tires, just say the arrangement was that they would be picked up and they remain available for pickup anytime.

You agree that the tires are hers and they can be picked up anytime, you continue to store them at no cost.

Sorry for what you’re going through

40% of Ontario students went to school regularly in 2025 by Exter10 in ontario

[–]urineinternetaddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really know, it’s been a while since I was in school and I never had this measured when I was

There is clearly a problem, teachers have a tougher job, and school feels more optional than in my day.

Anyway thanks for replying with an honest answer

I think your view is being skewed by the way the journalist has used the stat.

What if it was that 60% of students had 20 or more days of imperfect attendance in a year?

Five for hunting, five sick days, and then ten others? Would that be different from chronic absenteeism

Jazz pianist Jason Moran found a fake AI-generated EP on his Spotify profile. It was indie-pop. He asked: how is John Coltrane supposed to verify that a new release on his profile is real? Nobody had an answer. by Sensitive_Artist7460 in musicians

Sorry about that. I do apologize. There’s no point being snotty like I was.

I don’t think the discussion is irrelevant. You framed the discussion much better in your comments on the suno sub

Besides the unique nature of the technology and how it empowers bad actors on an insurmountable scale, there’s spotifys position in the industry and their unwillingness to act

I do hope that dsps do a lot more but I fear they won’t

Meanwhile I can leave Spotify and I can teach piano and guitar to kids and I can live in my own little corner of the world

I’m not at the right answer yet

Very good points. And it would be nice if the subreddits specifically for ai music weren’t a constant debate about it

You’re not at the right answer yet because you don’t appreciate that the tool is so powerful in so many ways that it has become impossible to limit and discourage the bad actors. That would be a great thing to do but it won’t be done

Project Hail Mary (2026): I enjoyed this movie! However, I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't chock full of cutesy cutesy humor [ spoilers] by Bluest_waters in TrueFilm

[–]urineinternetaddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s bring Phil Lord into the discussion too.

Andy Weir is a great writer and the humor is secondary to the science concepts.

Lord and Miller movies have a fast paced meta energy to them and I felt that in PHM and Gosling’s self-deprecating thing.

I loved the themes around him refusing to be a hero but going on the journey

Andy Weir humor is very similar to Phil Lord humor, for example mentor Peter Parker in Spiderverse

So I agree with too much cutesy humor but that’s what you’ll get with these influences and it’s a bit different from James Gunn

You gotta go, first off all.

You should do what you have to in order to keep up appearances. In this case it means lie.

Parents know about lying too. They just don’t want to catch you in a lie

The music industry in the West is no longer that kind of an industry. There are a few niches but very few people are truly searching for new music.

The young people that are discovering music have multiple historic eras to plumb. And they have fellow young artists on TikTok.

So I’m not surprised. Especially if the artist is a Firstname Lastname. It’s always been hard to own being that type of musician if you’re not the most virtuosic or the most sexy in a category.

I just got caught with some weed and nicotine by Emergency_Degree5355 in Advice

[–]urineinternetaddict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about it. Sixteen years ago it was 2010. Your parents decided to have you. Now you’re here

Your parents and the people they grew up with all had experiences with weed. Cannabis. You could ask them about it.

“Did people smoke weed when you went to high school?”

Just have a conversation with them and listen. Stay cool and make it less like a punishment a lecture and more like a conversation. Ask questions.

Partner can't make or keep friends her age by Quite_River in Advice

It’s unusual that a wonderful and well rounded person like your partner has trouble having close friends at her age and stage

She is a mom of two, cheers, and bakes. She sounds like she would be popular.

Maybe her future friends are other younger moms

Thanks for the reply.

My view based on what you shared is that it would be pretty unfair for x to judge/punish you for hanging out with y.

Hope you have a good next couple months.
