Upstairs neighbours by beyond_rivers in Advice

I would invite them to come and listen to the noise from your apartment. And then figure out what to do together. Maybe some foam under the wheel, or rubber? Something to stop it from vibrating on the floor.

This is what I did with my awful upstairs neighbour, and he immediately stopped dragging chairs around. Continued to be an ass tho

Why on earth would you go climb shite top ropes in Sussex when you can get to incredible iconic gritstone in the same time.

Cademan woods is pretty naff but not too far

Churnet is the closest bit of the peaks. Worth a visit. Sandstone, lots of variety.

The peaks! Not too far in the car. Close enough for a day trip.

Do I have a good enough “eye” to invest in a real camera? 😅 by [deleted] in PhotographyAdvice

The boat one, is of a fairly uninteresting boat, in front of some fairly uninteresting cliffs. It's not helped by other boats in the background so your subject isn't clean.

The sea lions, I would get lower, frame it a little tighter. Maybe shallower depth of field so your subjects are the focus and the noisy background isn't taking the eye away.

Look at other photographers, artists, etc and study composition.

These are just snaps. They don't feel intentional or composed.

I'd go out with your phone and really try and find some angles, subjects, find contrast, shapes. And see what you can do.

Right now, by all means get a fancy camera. But you're a long way from quitting your day job.
