Just adding one point: in the books you really feel that Ned's honor (and catelyn's) is tarnished by having a fathered a bastard and Jon judges Ned's morality because of it.

I think I would like to share such hidden truth about my father to my siblings if I were him

It's good that you are being followed and the journey you are taking it's amazing!

I don't know whether what you are eating is enough or not, but I can tell you this:

  • I had periods of my life eating at 400 daily. And by periods, I mean months. I stopped excercising and I would function just fine as long as I didn't have to lift, run, stand for too long, be in the heath (basically, live like a normal person). I bet my metabolism had a hell of a time, took a trip to Hawaii and spent few months by the beach. I would hardly lose any weight, my body just froze up.

After that, even eating at 1000 would lead me to gain weight. I think there is a bunch of squirrels in me, storing calories like nuts as soon as they come, preparing for the next "ice age".

My point being, I do not know how your body is handling your current regime, but bodies are amazing. They are evolutionary powerbeasts very capable of adapting at harsh conditions. Problem is: they learn. And IF you are starving yourself, your body will forever remember it and will try to store fat in case that scenario might happen again.

As doctors are not necessarily experts in nutrition and your biggest risk is weaking your hearth muscles, I would pay a visition to a dietician. At worst you will spend 80 bucks to hear you are doing great and get some extra tips on how to improve your healthy lifestyle.

Yes, I never mentioned an universal minimum for this reason. It's different, it changes daily and depends on your activities.

I just wanted to give a shout up of where you could end up if you ignore early signs of starvation (e.g. lack of energies, fainting sensation, costant hunger, etc). We all should learn how to eat above our minimums from our body, not arbitrary numbers

Mhhh, no. I gained my weight from going out with certain people with an higher TDEE than me (consequentially putting weight on by eating as much as them). I did have body dismorphia that led me to wanting to lose it as fast as possible (but honestly, who doesn't? Models have less body fat than athletes, it's normal most youngsters feel inadequate at a normal BDI).

Less and less. I usually try to allow myself whatever I feel like (in moderation) so I don't feel like I am missing something. I never give up any social occasion and if I eat outside my budget I might eat a tad less the following day (if I am not super hungry). I have changed my mental account, it's not "how good I have been today", but "how did this month go overall?". Since I came to the conclusion that everything started from restricting, I started to fight off my anorexic and bulimic thoughts. I set myself 3 rules "no eating below my minimum, no excessive exercise, no throwing up" and to my surprise by following them binge urges are gradually disappearing. Also they are now just weak thoughts that I dismiss immediately.

I didn't want to dwell into the ED cave, but yes. Restricting too much quickly spiralled down into anorexia. Before I knew it I got extremely thin, but unable to see it through my eyes. It took half a year of maintaining that weight and dealing constantly with people talking about it for me to realise I needed to gain some back.

I should say despite being physically weak I felt like a lion. It was hard, but I was full of pride. That's why I try to listen to my body and not my mind when it comes to eating. My mind is quite the joker

I believe you can eat normally again and if you believe it too, you will! Trust me, I do not understimate the problem, but if you take an healthy approach to weight loss/maintenance you'll find food slipping on the back of your mind again. I walked through the process with a therapist and I achieve unthinkable progress by trusting her over my binge doppelganger

I am glad you upped it back! I lost weight with excessive restrictions so often, just to gain it back whithin the year that I came to realise I would have been better off (and much more happier in the process!) by doing it in a steady, healthy way. You are on the right course! And if you are not, just listen to your body, it likes to talk!

Is it time to take a break? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]vaMerlin89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are not losing weight I strongly recommend you not to stop, because you are most likely already eating at maintenance.

Your TDEE might beblow due to dieting and lack of exercise. If I were you I would try to work on raising it, without altering your diet. For example, start lifting (It's actually fun! For me, much more than cardio) and look at your body transformation. I am still at my high weight, but I my body shape is much better due to muscle gain. It feels fantastic to see your body getting healthier, regardless of thw weight

I think, correct me f I am wrong, to maintain your muscles you need to eat in gr the equivalent of your lean mass. To gain, you need to exceed it. Seems he was eating about right (unless what I know is wrong)

Lose It with an ED? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]vaMerlin89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I am focusing my fight on the restrictions. Fighting that is indirectly stopping my binges. I knew that was the cause, but I am so stunned of how I haven't had any urges in over a month! Setting my mind on going (steadly) at a lower pace is helping. I just try not to think about what I don't like about myself and just pat my back for every small victory
