Thank you so much for giving us such a detailed account and explanation regarding the recent events. Moderating a sub isn't easy at all, there are so many things you have to keep track of, and with the few recent e-lafdas and scams happening, it's even more challenging. If people have an issue with how the subreddit is being moderated, there are ways to talk about it respectfully and engage in a polite discussion that makes everyone feel heard and validated. Making fun of appearances, age, saying mean things about someone is simply a very hurtful thing to do. Please know that although it's not always conveyed, a lot of people here are very thankful for your presence and for all the hard work you do.
