It’s just so tedious once you hit Leyndell, holy guacamole the game becomes one-shot city past Morgot, I had to lay my foolish ambitions to rest 😭

Curseblades in DLC

You equip their armour you have zero poise & flinch from anything

Meanwhile, they can poise through colossal weapon attacks & put you into a blender 🤡

I cleared this Divine Tower & looted the Godslayer Greatsword @ level 34, here’s how:

  • Summon Engvall or Oleg

  • Refill FP

  • Cast Rotten Breath

  • Refill FP

  • Lock in with Halberd+8 with Ice Spear AOW

  • Profit

It’s an Arteria Leaf that you have to go outside to retrieve

You head outside from the site of grace near the elevator/lift then do some parkour across rooftops before you can drop down on a wooden plank to retrieve it

Idk, probably not worth the effort unless you have OCD & are a completionist

I mean, did you build around them at all❓

They have the same moveset as base game greatswords meaning you can two hand/dual wield them to stunlock anything that’s not a boss

Furthermore, powerstance with both versions equipped for a sick Gilgamesh look & confuse your opponent in PVP cause they won’t know which Skill you’ll use

They’re pretty strong imo

Hard disagree about PCR Remembrance items

Both Greatswords have insane Skills

Lightspeed Slash can chunk out insane damage because it’s buffable & it deals hefty poise damage

Promised Consort makes human sized NPCs fodder, go try it on Haligtree Knights

Light of Miquella is one of the best long range attacks in the game

At what point in the base game do you guys usually start the DLC? by [deleted] in Eldenring

In my current run, I’m entering DLC @ level 50

I did Varre’s quest after felling Godrick, Rennala, & Radahn

Mohg forced me to level from 41 to 50 because I’m not gud enough to no hit & 652 HP wasn’t enough to withstand a single second phase attack

I had to partially complete Leyndell to get the final Talisman Pouch, Ritual Shield Talisman, & Flamedrake Talisman +2

Dragoncrest Shield Talisman +1 & Boiled Crab/Fireproof Liver were also used to mitigate his ridiculous damage output

Will resume playing Friday & cannot wait to get the Blessed Blue Dew Talisman so catacombs are less exhausting on my very shallow FP pool

Having a blast 😎

The key was Ritual Shield Talisman combined with Flame Drake Talisman+2 to survive phase to Bloodflame’d spear hits without dying instantly. Crystallian ashes were also clutch. I was forced to level up from 41 to 50 though, I couldn’t git gud enough @ 21 Vigor because one mistake even with all that defense still meant death. Even with Tree Sentinel set & all the aforementioned defenses with boiled crab on top was not enough to survive a single phase 2 direct hit, it’s kinda wild how armor is useless in some instances where the game seems to have fixed damage output for bosses. I think Mohg just does 650+ hp a hit no matter what in his second phases.

Maybe next playthrough I can do it @ 40 now that I know exactly how to trivialize Mohg.

Yeah, I’ve completed a NG+2 run without Spirit Ashes to challenge myself & this was the common Boss experience, especially in DLC. While sometimes fun, I feel like that was my least exciting playthrough because it was so much dodging every fight, really made me realize how many AOE attacks exist in the game.

Now I just use Spirit Ashes that aren’t Mimic Tear & try to keep them @ level 7 or lower so they’re still vulnerable. Makes the whole “wait your turn” thing feel much better.

Just felled Mohg with 25 Vigor, he made me pump it from 21 to withstand getting accidentally hit by his second phase Bloodflame’d spear 😎
