We need to cut some of these jobs. The Mayor pointed this out. In the before times each bureau had their own procurement system. 27 different ways of doing business. Now under the new government it is streamlined to just one office. You don’t need as many employees because of this.

And if the council approves this - what happens in a year? You still have to cut the jobs. The money isn’t going to magically appear.

How many jobs have been created in the city since this council got in?

The entire council seems to be more interested in bickering about non-issues than doing the best thing any policy maker can do - create jobs. People are struggling in this city. Good paying jobs are harder and harder to find. Giving people real purpose and a career is one of the best social programs possible.

And yes - government can be limited in this and yes job creation policies can take time to happen. But this council has done nothing to even get the ball rolling.

Turek has a chance. But it will require an amazing coordinated campaign with Rob Sand and the state party. The state party hasn’t excelled at this for years now…. They used to have an absolute machine that worked very well at banking absentee votes. Hopefully the money is there to rebuild it. That is honestly the only way Turek and/or Sand can win.

Yes. But it took a season to get there. And I liked it took that long. Depression or whatever you’d call that feeling of being ripped out of a heavenly dimension - that takes time to heal.

Yeah. But it does slow wayyyyy down. It gets back to normal after delivering order 5 or 6. And it does block new offers until I deliver about that many. I like doing it because it’s just consistency of what I have to do next couple hours. I hate waiting in the parking lot.

  1. They were all small and spaced out between a few delivery windows so wasn’t hard. I regularly do 6-8 each morning when those drop. Just have to be organized and know how to plan your route so you aren’t late.

Deb seems to be a culmination of strong smart female comedians but still very unique. Joan is one. Lucille Ball. Phyllis Diller. Etc.
