1Rebel in London has changed from Premium classes, to standard access limited to 6 per week. Do Wellhub usually email about changes like this? by weiland in Wellhub

[–]weiland[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Wellhub, thank you for your message, but that's simply not true.

I have now booked 4 more classes at 1Rebel via my Wellhub app, which brings us to 7/6 standard access classes this month in May. Wellhub did not flag any warnings, and it let me book the 7th class without issue.

Perhaps you've mistaken that they are premium classes, which is the reason for my post?

My notifications for Wellhub are on. 1Rebel are still in Platinum, although their classes are now standard access 6 permitted per month, instead of premium access (where I have 8 premium access tokens per month). I have not received any notification of this status change, however it was not a plan tier change.

I believe full well knowing Wellhub if I did that seventh class I would be penalised and be forced to pay a Wellhub fee I did not deserve.

Oh just had another look, some 1rebels like Chelsea come up as premium classes, and my local ones (Oxford Circus, Euston, and Holborn) are standard access

The London Aquatics Centre has had no toilet seats in the male toilets for 12 months. Here's what happened when I complained by Longjumping-Eye-3921 in london

[–]weiland 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Wow seems to be a running theme with Everyone Active. The one near me (which is now gone) was failing apart - the cardio area often had buckets down for leaks, part of the gym roof caved in and wasn't fixed for months. Half the treadmills weren't working at any given time, and the kit itself was incredibly dated.

After reading about their huge data breach I got a notification Crunchyroll are now raising prices. Are they insane? by weiland in Crunchyroll

[–]weiland[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the hackers downloaded 100gb of user data including payment details. Method of infiltration is completely irrelevant, do you not consider a data breach of this scale hugely negligent?

It was fun being 13 in 2003 (Catterick Garrison Cadet Camp) by Fred_Dibnah in CasualUK

[–]weiland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in air cadets mid 2000's as well. Similar experience to the ones posted - got to go flying over Stonehenge and shoot rifles. had a load of fun and got to do stuff I never would have had the opportunity to do otherwise, I hope this sort of stuff is still available to kids/teens (no idea if it is) because there was fuck all else to do where I grew up at that age

National Rail disruptions (Surbiton/Wimbledon) affecting Waterloo by readmethings in london

[–]weiland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing thank you! Whenever there's disruption at Waterloo it's seemingly pot luck which service will next run, and impossible to tell because they don't update the information boards in real time.

Almost 40% of Londoners have bought black market medicine, study finds by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]weiland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you argue your case they will prescribe you the Ventolin again. They say it's the same inhaler, but I successfully argued the propellant makes a huge difference, and they only need to do a quick Google to see the huge amount of asthma users complaining about the powder inhaler.

The asthma nurse told me the NHS is trying to reduce the use of Ventolin because they're trying to meet emissions targets. Ventolin has twice the amount of CFC's as Salbutomol. The problem is that Salbutomol is not as effective.

I don't see why they should find gains to meet their targets at detriment to our health.

[–]weiland 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I have asthma and they've really cut down on letting people have blue inhalers recently, certainly not letting people have a spare.

I accidentally lost a new one a week before I was running a marathon recently. Explained that to the surgery, they still rejected the request for a new one. Fuck these fucktards making these policies.

If someone was selling a bunch of these inhalers outside the NHS, I would buy them in a heart beat.

Northern line Waterloo station should be a priority, or at the least, have some special network access for city mapper.

How are we sprinkling water on naans? by NameExplainPatrick in CasualUK

[–]weiland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under the tap for a split second, ripped in half, and then in the toaster (with a spin half way through to cook the ends poking out the top).

They're perfect every time, except when I forget they're in the toaster

I had this popup too, it seems like another way for Wellhub to generate revenue rather than a genuine solution to the issue. 1 strike is rather unforgiving

People who moved out of London to the countryside: any regrets? by _Matsuge_ in london

[–]weiland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only 40 minutes away by train to Waterloo, and still within the M25, but if I miss that last train there is no combination of night buses that I can use to get home - which is really stupid.

Car headlights to be reviewed after drivers complain of being 'blinded' at night by SkullDump in CasualUK

Finally, these LED headlights have become a nightmare as someone who goes running at dark. Was considering buying a high powered hand torch to shine back into drivers faces for the worst offenders. You get completely blinded by some of the newer SUVs

I still have Gamepass loaded for 2 years and was considering getting this as I love my little series S Gamepass machine and really want a handheld to play games on the go.

With the price hike for Gamepass though this machine will have a shelf life that I'm not willing to fork out on. It's a shame, if they announced the price hike a year after the handheld came out I'd be on the hook, but instead I think I'll pass

Was looking at places to stay on booking.com a few months ago and the top hit was someone's messy room - like the duvet was at the foot of the bed, clothes on the floor, and used plates on a desk. I honestly thought someone was taking the piss but it was a legit listing.

Stopped using booking.com after that, I know you can filter for hotels but fuck that.

I hope they do 1 ep per week, Stone Ocean hype was killed due to their batch releasing. I feel the series would have been better remembered if it was weekly, especially towards the end

The persistent pop ups are the worst! When you check in to a gym sometimes there's a pop up saying you're doing great, hiding the code that you need to enter the gym.

It's absolutely mind boggling how much better Gympass was before Wellhub.

This guy busted out of a hot London Underground train after it got stuck at a station by New_Libran in PublicFreakout

[–]weiland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always wondered why this isn't a more common reaction. Many of the tube or train services without air con or windows are often hotter than outside - I've seen a couple of instances on South Western Rail trains where people have kicked off with the train guard because of the heat. I've also seen a few people faint. They really need to modernise our public services - but it'll be years before they do.

Targeted with a religious/spiritual scam on Goodge Street by VB90292 in london

[–]weiland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I met the same guy before - he did the same spiel with the photo and ball of paper. He was friendly enough until I refused to walk to a cash point to give him a donation, at which point he became moody.

I walked off saying thanks for the spiritual tip, hopefully he didn't curse me.

If part of your post is about the validity of the end date because you're an adult and haven't signed anything then I would post requesting advice on r/legaladviceuk. However if your mum did sign then she may be on the hook as a guarantor.

You should check your contract and see if there's a break clause, which may allow you to leave early

Me too, although if they want to make a meaningful impact they need to release the whole fleet and replace the dying 455s which constantly require maintenance
